G6U <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 22. 1993 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:33 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 1993, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and. Mrs. <br />Mary H. Mueller present. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, two (2) traffic control devices were added to the agenda. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and <br />carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on <br />February 15, 1993, were approved. <br />APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADDENDUM <br />The following Community Development Addendum was presented to the <br />Board for approval: <br />ADDENDUM II <br />NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL <br />NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER <br />Addendum II indicates that.the Cost Categories shall also <br />include eligible costs of materials needed in minor deferred <br />maintenance of the neighborhood facility and for replacement <br />of equipment used in the provision of the Center's services, <br />including but not limited to, tables used in the senior <br />nutrition activity. <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and <br />carried, the above Addendum was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - TRUSS PAINTING PROJECT - <br />COVELESKI REGIONAL STADIUM <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Harmony Painting, 51855 Mayflower <br />Road, South Bend, Indiana, submitted a Project Completion Affidavit <br />for the above referred to project indicating a final cost of <br />$36,430.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by <br />Mrs. Mueller and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was <br />approved and executed. <br />AWARD BIDS - VARIOUS EQUIPMENT - PARK DEPARTMENT <br />Board Attorney and Member, Mary H. Mueller, informed members of the <br />Board that on February 15, 1993, the Board of Park Commissioners <br />opened bids for various equipment. At that time, the Board of Park <br />Commissioners designated the Board of Public Works as their agent <br />to award bids for this equipment. <br />Therefore, the Board is in receipt of a letter from Mr. Phil St. <br />Clair, Superintendent, Department of Public Parks, requesting that <br />the Board award the following bids: <br />One (1) 665 B Stump Cutter $ 15,908.37 <br />Vermeer Sales & Service <br />Four (4) F700 Flatbed Trucks $146,540.00 <br />Jordan Ford <br />One (1) L-8000 Dump Truck (Neils) $ 44,646.00 <br />Shamrock Ford <br />Five (5) 3/4 Ton Pickup Trucks $ 61,26.60 <br />Gates Chevrolet <br />1 <br />
