t032 REGULAV MEETING FEBRUARY 1, 1993 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:33 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 1993, by Board President John E. Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. Mary H. Mueller present. AGENDA ITEMS ADDED/DELETED Upon a motion made by Mrs. Mueller, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, a Traffic Control Device was added to the agenda and the award of bid for hi -band portable two-way radios, vehicular chargers and accessory items for the South Bend Fire Department was stricken from the agenda at this time. APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Mueller and carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on January 25, 1993, were approved. OPENING OF BIDS - INSPECTION AND REPAIR OF PUMP NO. 3 AND APPURTENANCES DIVISION A: PUMP INSPECTION AND REPAIRS DIVISION B: RIGHT ANGLE DRIVE INSPECTION AND REPAIRS WASTEWATER TREATMENT This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: ELLIOTT TURBOMACHINERY COMPANY, INC. North 4th Street Jeannette, PA 15644 Bid was signed by Mr. John N. Brenzia, Treasurer, Non - Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed and a five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted. BID: Division A: $55,758.00 Division B: $41,755.00 Deduction for performing both Division A and B: -$ 6,197.00 Firm price proposal to prime and paint volute case:$ 565.00 VIKING ENGINEERING COMPANY, INC. 2300 Michigan Street Hammond, Indiana 46320 Bid was signed by Mr. A. Brennan, President, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed and a Certified Check in the amount of $4,145.40 was submitted. Division A: $49,054.00 Division B: $33,854.00 Deduction for performing both Division A and B: $ 856.00 FAIRBANKS MORSE PUMP CORPORATION 3601 Fairbanks Avenue Kansas City, KS 66106-0999 Bid was signed by Mr. Tom Hoffman, General Manager, PSG, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed and five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted.
