fA REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 19. 1994 Mr. Melvin Wood was present, and stated that this show will be conducted to sell boats, fishing tackle, outdoor equipment and services. There being no one else present wishing to address the Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the License Application was approved. OPENING OF BIDS - SOUTH BEND DAM CANOE PORTAGE & PARKS REPAIR - PROJECT NO.94-67 This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: KANKAKEE VALLEY CONSTRUCTION, CO., INC. Post Office Box 1471 LaPorte, Indiana 46352 Bid was signed by Mr. James B. Nelson, President Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted BID: $322,077.50 NORTHERN INDIANA CONSTRUCTION CO.. INC. Post Office Box 1333 Mishawaka, Indiana 46546 Bid was signed by Mr. David J. Walorski, President Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted BID: $331,396.25 Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above bids were referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - 512 ECLIPSE PLACE - INTERIOR ALTERATION AND ENTRANCE RAMP - ZIOLKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on December 5, 1994, to Ziolkowski Construction, Inc., Post Office Box 1106, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $24,651.00 for the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY - ACCESS FROM U.S. 31 TO NIMTZ PARKWAY - COLE ASSOCIATES Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement for a feasibility study between Cole Associates, 2211 East Jefferson Boulevard, and the City of South Bend. It is noted that this Agreement is in the amount of $17,545.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVE AGREEMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE FOR STREET LIGHTING - F. JAY NIMTZ PARKWAY - PHASE II - I&M ELECTRIC CO. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of Agreements for electrical service between Indiana Michigan Power Company, and the City of South Bend, at 3400 F. Jay Nimtz Parkway.
