fA <br />REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 19. 1994 <br />Mr. Melvin Wood was present, and stated that this show will be conducted to sell boats, fishing <br />tackle, outdoor equipment and services. There being no one else present wishing to address the <br />Board concerning this matter, the Public Hearing was closed. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the License <br />Application was approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SOUTH BEND DAM CANOE PORTAGE & PARKS REPAIR - PROJECT <br />NO.94-67 <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to project. The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News <br />which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />KANKAKEE VALLEY CONSTRUCTION, CO., INC. <br />Post Office Box 1471 <br />LaPorte, Indiana 46352 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. James B. Nelson, President <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order <br />Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed <br />Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $322,077.50 <br />NORTHERN INDIANA CONSTRUCTION CO.. INC. <br />Post Office Box 1333 <br />Mishawaka, Indiana 46546 <br />Bid was signed by Mr. David J. Walorski, President <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order <br />Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed <br />Five per cent (5%) Bid Bond was submitted <br />BID: $331,396.25 <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above bids were <br />referred to the Division of Engineering for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - 512 ECLIPSE PLACE - INTERIOR ALTERATION <br />AND ENTRANCE RAMP - ZIOLKOWSKI CONSTRUCTION <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on December 5, 1994, to <br />Ziolkowski Construction, Inc., Post Office Box 1106, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of <br />$24,651.00 for the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for <br />Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the <br />Contract was approved and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor <br />and Materials Payment Bond as submitted were filed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY - ACCESS FROM U.S. 31 TO NIMTZ <br />PARKWAY - COLE ASSOCIATES <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement for a feasibility study between <br />Cole Associates, 2211 East Jefferson Boulevard, and the City of South Bend. It is noted that this <br />Agreement is in the amount of $17,545.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE AGREEMENTS FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICE FOR STREET LIGHTING - F. JAY <br />NIMTZ PARKWAY - PHASE II - I&M ELECTRIC CO. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of Agreements for electrical service between <br />Indiana Michigan Power Company, and the City of South Bend, at 3400 F. Jay Nimtz Parkway. <br />The Agreements are to provide electricity to the two points of service along F. Jay Nimtz <br />
