The purpose of the vacation of the real property is to: <br />Prepare a site for the development of St. Joseph <br />County Juvenile Detention Center. <br />SECTION V. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the <br />Common Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />Member of the Common Council <br />Mr. Caldwell noted that there is an error in the legal description on line five (5) of page 600. The <br />legal description reads "...thence east along the north right-of-way line..." The correct call should <br />be west. Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning <br />this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, <br />Sanitation, Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works. Therefore, <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Board send a favorable recommendation to the Commo <br />Council concerning this Vacation Petition. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT - HEIRLOOM IMAGES <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a request for Application for Transient Merchant <br />License, as submitted by Mr. Roger L. Smith, 8863 E. Black Point Road, Syracuse, Indiana, to <br />conduct an Heirloom Images sale on Sunday, February 19, 1995, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and <br />Saturday, March 18, 1995, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Century Center, for the purpose of <br />selling new and used home computer equipment, photographic equipment, doll houses and <br />furnishings, and assorted miniatures. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. <br />Manier and carried, the application was forwarded to the appropriate Bureaus for recommendation. <br />APPROVAL OF 1995 HOLIDAY SCHEDULE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of letter from Mayor Joseph E. Kernan, requesting <br />the approval of the 1995 Holiday Schedule.
