Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR RUBBISH AND GARBAGE REMOVAL <br />SERVICE - BROWNING FERRIS INDUSTRIES OF INDIANA INC. <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Building <br />Commissioner and the Department of Code Enforcement for a License Application for Rubbish and <br />Garbage Removal Service, as submitted by Mr. Ed Sell, District Manager, Browning Ferris <br />Industries of Indiana, Inc., 57820 Charlotte Avenue, Elkhart, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the License Application was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF LICENSE APPLICATION FOR SECONDHAND STORE - HARRISON <br />FURNITURE AND TREASURES - 1609 S. MIAMI <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Division <br />of Engineering, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and the Fire Department, for <br />a License Application for a Secondhand Store, as submitted by Mr. Joe Roskuski, 1250 Clayton <br />Drive, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the License Application was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO ACQUIRE CITY -OWNED PROPERTIES <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations have been received from the Department of <br />Public Works, Code Enforcement, Economic Development and the Park Department, for a request <br />from the South Bend Heritage Foundation to acquire City -owned property in the Southeast <br />Neighborhood, for $1.00 per lot. Further, these lots are located in a redevelopment target area. <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following City - <br />owned lots have been approved to be acquired by the South Bend Heritage Foundation,for the sum <br />of $1.00 (one dollar) per lot, subject to a Resolution from the Legal Department: <br />Key No. 18-7023-0888 - 528 Wenger <br />Key No. 18-7023-0891 - 522 Neitzel Court <br />Key No. 18-7023-0892 - 516 Wenger <br />Key No. 18-8023-0893 - at rear of 516 Wenger (no assigned address) <br />Key No. 18-7023-0907 - 1217 S. Rush <br />Key No. 18-7023-0922 - 1229 Rush <br />Key No. 18-7023-0923 - 527 Pennsylvania <br />Key No. 18-7023-0928 - 507 Pennsylvania <br />Key No. 18-7023-0929 - 501 Pennsylvania <br />Key No. 18-7014-0531 - 526 Pennsylvania <br />SERVICES FACILITY - PROJECT NO 94-40 <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, has submitted a <br />request to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Further, Mr. Littrell <br />noted that this project will install two (2) new 20,000 gallon underground storage tanks with <br />dispensing and inventory control equipment at the Municipal Services Facility. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request was approved. <br />
