41 1 REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 22, 1994 referred to rescue vehicle for the Fire Department. The Clerk of the Board provided to the Board proofs of publication of the Notice to Bidders which was published in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News. The following bid was opened and read: PIERCE MANUFACTURING, INC. 2600 American Drive Appleton, WI 54915 By: MR. TOM FREDERICK MIDWEST FIRE & SAFETY EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. 50956 Lincolnshire Trail Granger, Indiana Bid was signed by Mr. Norbert Charleswood, Non -Collusion Affidavit was in order, Non -Discrimination Commitment form was completed and a ten per cent (10%) Bid Bond was submitted. BID: One (1) Pierce New Heavy Duty Rescue Walk -In Fire Apparatus mounted on a new Pierce Custom Chassis as per details submitted with the bid: $245,638.00 If chassis portion ($93,890.00) is paid ninety (90) days prior to completion of apparatus, deduct: $ 3,600.00 Bid good for sixty (60) calendar days. Delivery scheduled approximately six and one-half (6 1/2) months provided all required information is received at manufacturer by September 7, 1994. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this bid be referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. OPENING OF BIDS - REFURBISHING OF ONE (1) 1977 C-F MACK PUMPER This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referred to pumper for the South Bend Fire Department. The Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News which were found to be sufficient. The following bid was opened and publicly read: RENEWED PERFORMANCE. INC. P.O. Box 196 Tipton, Indiana 46072 Bid was signed by Mr. Raymond D. Collusion Affidavit was in order, Commitment form was completed and Bond was submitted. BID: $56,884.00 Salati, President, Non - Non -Discrimination a ten per cent (10%) Bid Mr. Caldwell made a motion that this bid be referred to the Fire Department for review and recommendation. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. OPENING OF QUOTATIONS - ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS - EAST BANK DEVELOPMENT AREA It was noted that today was the date set for the submission of sealed Quotations for the above referred to project which entails improving the alleys located between Niles Avenue and Hill Street and Colfax Avenue and LaSalle Avenue. Work includes excavation, grading, asphalt paving, sidewalk, curb and sod installation, drainage structures and other appurtenant work. The following Quotations were received, opened and read:
