The City's
specifications required an outer shell of thermoglass which
contains an elastomeric material which reduces chipping and
cracking due to everyday use by the firefighters. The Cairn 1010
outer shell is made of fiberglass and does not have the
elastomeric protection required by the City's specifications.
Mr. Caldwell made a motion that this recommendation be accepted
and the bid be awarded. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which
carried.
REQUESTS REFERRED:
Up
'n a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell
an carried, the following requests were referred to the
appropriate City departments and bureaus for review and
recommendation:
OF HAUPERT CONSTRUCTION & COMPANY, INC., ON BEHALF OF
PROPERTY OWNER AT 430-434 L_INCOLNWAY WEST, TO ENCROACH ON THE
PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY
Mr. Bruce A. This will be removed and enlarged
to the dimensions shown on the drawings submitted with the
request. The new detail will extend the full length of the
building at approximately the same height as the existing.
Mr. Haupert further noted that they have already secured a
permit for the change in windows and doors and expect to
secure a separate one for the overhang.
lv %--uvDz VIAIJl.-DUN TrKMZT, YMUM 'XWXCKENHAM TO JACOB, FOR BLOCK
PARTY - JULY 3, 1994
Ms. Jeanne Winenger, 1415 East Madison Street, South Bend,
Indiana, submitted to the Board an Application For Use Of And
Blocking Of Access To Public Right -of -Way For A Party Or
Similar Event, requesting that Madison Street, from
Twyckenham to Jacob, be closed from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
on July 3, 1994 for a block party.
TO CLOSE E.
