11 346 <br />REGULAR MEETING JUNE 20, 1994 <br />AWARD BID AND APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - WILLIAM RICHARDSON <br />COURT <br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, <br />Division of Engineering, advised that on May 16, 1994, the Board <br />opened 'six (6) bids for the construction of William Richardson <br />Court in the Toll Road Industrial Park. Mr. Littrell noted that <br />he has reviewed the bids and found the amounts correct as read at <br />the Board meeting except for the bid of HRP Construction which had <br />an arithmetic error in extension of the last item of Alternate #2. <br />All bids were responsive to specifications. Therefore, Mr. <br />Littrell recommended award of a contract to the low bidder for the <br />base amount, Small, Inc., 25190 State Road 4, North Liberty, <br />Indiana, in the amount of $291,168.00. <br />Additionally submitted at this time was the appropriate <br />Construction Contract for this project indicating a Contract <br />amount of $291,168.00. <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted, <br />the bid be awarded and the Construction Contract be approved and <br />executed. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />AWARD BID - TWO HUNDRED FIFTEEN (215), MORE OR LESS, FIREFIGHTER <br />LUG SOLE INSULATED BUNKER BOOTS, HELMETS AND GLOVES <br />In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor advised that he <br />has reviewed the bids received on June 6, 1994, for two hundred <br />fiftee (215), more or less, firefighter lug sole insulated boots, <br />firefighter helmets and firefighter gloves. After said review, <br />Chief kylor recommended the following: <br />MIDWEST FIRE & SAFETY EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. <br />1605 Prospect Street <br />Indianapolis, Indiana 46203 <br />BY: <br />MR. TOM FREDERICK <br />50956 Lincolnshire Trail <br />Granger, Indiana 46530 <br />$22.30 per pair for the "Firefighter" by the <br />Glove Corporation for a total bid award of <br />$4,794.50. This was the low bid per <br />specifications. <br />MIDWEST FIRE & SAFETY EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. <br />1605 Prospect Street <br />Indianapolis, Indiana 46203 <br />BY: <br />MR. TOM FREDERICK <br />50956 Lincolnshire Trail <br />Granger, Indiana 46530 <br />$70.10 per paid for Servus Model #11483 for a <br />total bid award of $15,071,50. This was the <br />low bid per specifications. <br />MIDWEST FIRE & SAFETY EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. <br />1605 Prospect Street <br />Indianapolis, Indiana 46203 <br />BY: <br />MR.
