3=39 <br />REGULAR MEETING JUNE 20, 1994 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at <br />9:35 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 1994, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. <br />Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Board Attorney Anne <br />Brunel. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on <br />June 13, 1994, were approved as submitted. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - RE: PROPOSED SALE OF REAL ESTATE ADJACENT TO THE <br />ELBEL GOLF COURSE <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that this was the date set for the Board's <br />Public Hearing on the proposed sale of the following real estate <br />which is adjacent to the Elbel Golf Course: <br />PARCEL I: Lot #3, Redwood Road Minor Subdivision, St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana, commonly known as <br />51240 Redwood Road. <br />PARCEL II: Lot #2, Redwood Road - Minor Subdivision, St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana, commonly known as <br />51190 Redwood Road. <br />Mrs. Manier noted that the bids that have been received for these <br />parcels should be read publicly at this time. Additionally, Mrs. <br />Manier advised that the Public Hearing is to determine the sale of <br />the land. She further noted that it would be helpful to hear from <br />the individuals who have submitted a bid as to their plans for the <br />property as the property will be sold to the highest and best bid. <br />A recommendation will be submitted to the Mayor and the Common <br />Council will make the final decision and approval. <br />were received from the following individuals: <br />Martin & Sarah Niedbalski Parcel #2 $19,500.00 <br />51142 Redwood Road <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid Security: Cashier's Check #11-062617 in the amount of <br />$2,000.00 <br />Remarks: Mr. and Mrs. Niedbalski noted that they have <br />no plans to develop the land and would prefer <br />to keep the natural environmental state of <br />which it is now, perhaps planting some trees <br />on this property which is adjacent to their <br />property. Being the owners of the property <br />adjacent to this land, they would appreciate <br />any consideration given to their bid. <br />William J. Krizman Parcel #2 $20,000.10 <br />805 Lindenwood Drive South <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Bid Security: Treasurer's -Check #725814 in the amount of <br />$2,200.00. <br />Remarks: Mr. Krizman noted that he proposes to use <br />Parcel II, Lot #2, Redwood Road to build a <br />single family residence in which he will live <br />with his wife and children. Mr. Krizman <br />further noted that this bid is to be null and <br />void if ground environmental contamination/ <br />water is found by an independent <br />
