The parade would begin in the Riley High <br />School parking lot on Fellows Street, proceed on Fellows <br />south to Ireland Road, turn east on Ireland to Miami, turn <br />south on Miami to Jackson Field. The parade will begin at <br />5:00 p.m. and all participants should enter Jackson Field at <br />approximately 6:30 p.m. <br />OF ST. STEPHEN'S PARISH TO CLOSE MC PHERSON FROM THOMAS TO <br />NAPIER, IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANNUAL PARISH FESTIVAL - JULY 31, <br />1994 <br />Rev. Thomas McNally, Pastor, St. Stephen's Parish, 1102 West <br />Thomas Street, advised that they are planning their annual <br />parish festival to be held on Sunday, July 31, 1994, at St. <br />Stephen's, which is located at Thomas and McPherson. <br />Therefore, Rev. McNally requested that McPherson Street, <br />between Thomas and Napier, be closed from 9:00 a.m. on <br />Saturday, July 30, 1994 through Sunday, July 31, 1994 in <br />conjunction with this event. <br />OF OPTIMIST CLUB TO INSTALL SIGN ON THE WELCOME TO SOUTH <br />BEND SIGN ON SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET <br />Mr. David M. Shock, Member of the Board of Directors, <br />Luncheon Optimist Club of Greater South Bend, c/o 701 West <br />Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to <br />install an Optimist International sign on the "Welcome to <br />South Bend" sign which is located on South Michigan Street <br />near O'Brien Park. Mr. Shock stated that they will soon <br />receive a second sign and would like to have it installed on <br />the sign near Twyckenham at South Bend Avenue. He noted that <br />the signs are the same type that Rotary and other service <br />organizations have installed in the past. <br />Mr. Shock explained that Optimist International is an <br />organization which is dedicated to the youth of our <br />community. They are a new club and meet at Tippecanoe Place <br />every Thursday at noon.. <br />OF HOOSIER LOTTERY TO INSTALL IDENTIFICATION SIGN ON CITY - <br />OWNED POLE AT 1539 NORTH IRONWOOD DRIVE <br />Mr. Jon Oppenheim, Regional Director, Hoosier Lottery, 2052 <br />East Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana, advised that the <br />Hoosier Lottery's South Bend Regional Office is in the <br />process of relocating to its new site at 1539 North Ironwood <br />Drive. <br />In this regard, Mr. Oppenheim requested permission to place <br />an identification sign on a City -owned pole that is located <br />on the treelawn at 1539 North Ironwood Drive. This pole is <br />used to suspend directional signs over Ironwood Drive and <br />they would like permission to affix a bracket and frame to <br />this pole for the purpose of informing motorists of their new <br />location. The sign would not be suspended over the street, <br />but over the treelawn. The sign measures thirty-one inches <br />
