-104 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 28, 1994 <br />The regular meeting of the Board -of Public Works was convened at <br />9:33 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 1994, by Board President John E. <br />Leszczynski, with Mr. Leszczynski, Mr. James R. Caldwell and Mrs. <br />Jenny Pitts Manier present. Also present was Assistant City <br />Attorney Anne Bruneel. <br />AGENDA ITEM ADDED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, a request from Habitat for Humanity was added to the <br />agenda. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of the Board held on <br />February 21, 1994, were approved. <br />OPENING OF BIDS - SALE OF THREE (3) TRASHER PACKER UNITS <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that this was the date set for the sale of <br />the three (3) trasher packer units which the Board declared <br />obsolete on January 17, 1994, pursuant to Resolution No. 2-1994. <br />The following bid was opened and read: <br />TRUCKS & PARTS OF TAMPA, INC. <br />1015 South 50th Street <br />Tampa, Florida 33619 <br />Bid was submitted by Mr. Bruce Goldenberg. <br />BID: Unit 4562 $ 7,100.00 <br />Unit #572 $13,100.00 <br />Third Unit: $ 9,100.00 <br />TOTAL BID FOR THREE (3) TRUCKS: $29,300.00 <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell <br />and carried, the bid was referred to the Division of Equipment <br />Services for review and recommendation. <br />APPROVE REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT FOR SEWER CONSTRUCTION <br />Mr. Leszczynski informed members that the Board is in receipt of a <br />Reimbursement Agreement for Sewer Construction between the City <br />and St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Agreement <br />indicates that at the City's request, the Church constructed a <br />sewer with a twelve inch (1211) pipe when the use of eight inch <br />(811) pipe would have been adequate for their purposes. The <br />Agreement further indicates that the Church incurred an additional <br />cost of $2,150.00 for upgrading the sewer construction from eight <br />inch (8") to twelve inch (12") pipe. Therefore, pursuant to this <br />Agreement, the City shall reimburse the Church $2,150.00 which is <br />the amount of additional cost incurred in upgrading the sewer at <br />the City's request. Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that this <br />Agreement be approved and executed. Mrs. Manier seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS: <br />- ONE 35000 G.V.W. CREW CAB CHASSIS AND REMOUNT OF CURRENT RESCUE <br />BODY ON THE NEW CHASSIS <br />- CHLORINE AND SULFUR DIOXIDE - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />In a letter to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor requested that <br />the Board advertise for the receipt of bids for one (1) 35000 <br />G.V.W. crew cab chassis and to remount the current rescue body on <br />the new chassis. Chief Taylor noted that the present rescue <br />chassis is a 1988 and is beginning to experience mechanical <br />problems. This <br />1 <br />
