REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 5. 1995 <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION FOR HOUSE MOVE - 1015 MARIETTA TO 602 <br />PENNSYLVANIA - SOUTH BEND HERITAGE FOUNDATION <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Engineering <br />Department, Police Department and the utility companies, in reference to a request as submitted by <br />Mr. Don Fozo, Building Commissioner, for a moving permit to move a home from 1015 Marietta <br />to 602 Pennsylvania Street for the South Bend Heritage Foundation. Mr. Fozo stated that the <br />insurance certificate has also been submitted, and the tentative schedule to move the home is <br />September 6, 1995. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and <br />carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ELBEL GOLF <br />COURSE - IRRIGATION SYSTEM - PROJECT NO. 95-16 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Upon a motion made <br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTHEAST <br />REDEVELOPMENT AREA SITE CLEARANCE - PHASE II - STRUCTURE REMOVAL AND <br />ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PACKAGE 1 - PROJECT NO. 95-81 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated <br />that this project will remove eighteen (18) residential structures from the Southeast Redevelopment <br />Area. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request <br />was approved. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following two <br />(2) traffic control devices were approved: <br />NEW INSTALLATION <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />1 Hour Parking, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. <br />2502 S. Michigan (Victoria Street side) <br />Mr. Scott Allen requested for business turnover <br />Handicap Sign <br />810 South Gladstone <br />Mrs. Agnes Longnecker has met all requirements <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />James E. Ready d/b/a Ready Concrete Approved Retroactive to August 16, 1995 <br />EXCAVATION BOND <br />Solid Rock Inc. Approved Retroactive to August 31, 1995 <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be <br />approved as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />FILING OF MONTHLY NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br />REPORT - AUGUST. 1995 <br />Mr. Sam Mercantini, Executive Director, Neighborhood Business Development Corporation, <br />submitted the monthly report for August, 1995, and requested approval. Upon a motion made by <br />Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the report was accepted and filed. <br />1 <br />
