REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 7, 1995 <br />East Monroe Street. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski <br />and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following <br />requests were referred to the appropriate Departments and Bureaus for recommendation: <br />- TO CLOSE STREETS IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF <br />FAME GRAND OPENING <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Paul Borowski, College Football Hall of Fame, requested permission <br />to close several streets on Wednesday, August 23, 1995, beginning at 6:00 a.m. through Saturday, <br />August 26, 1995, beginning at 6:00 a.m. on the designated list as submitted., in conjunction with the <br />College Football Hall of Fame Grand Opening Ceremonies. <br />- TO CONDUCT HOMECOMING PARADE - RILEY HIGH SCHOOL <br />In a letter to the Board, Assistant Principal Anthony Byrd, Riley High School, 405 East Ewing, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to conduct a h homecoming parade, on Friday, <br />September 22, 1995, beginning a 5:00 p.m., on the designated route as submitted. <br />APPROVE REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS- PARTS FOR REBUILD <br />OF GRIT CHANNEL - PROJECT NO.95-75 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, P.E., Director, Division of Engineering, <br />requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for parts for the rebuilding of grit channel. <br />Mr. Littrell stated that this request is on behalf of the Division of Environmental Services. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request was approved. <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractor Bond be approved as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />David Bauman d/b/a Woodcraft Builders Approved effective August 7, 1995 <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved <br />as outlined above.
