REGULAR MEETING JULY 17. 1995 AWARD BID/REJECT BIDS - RE -ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME - FURNITURE Mr. Bernie Kish, Director, College Football Hall of Fame, I I I South St. Joseph Street, South Bend, Indiana, stated that on June 26, 1995, bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Kish recommends that the Board award the contract as follows: OFFICE INTERIORS, INC. 1628 W. Beardsley Avenue Elkhart, Indiana 46515 ty. Item Amount Total 2 Stool $ 139.00 $ 278.00 8 File Cabinets, 10 Wastebaskets, $3562.00 Mr. Kish stated that the bid of Office Mart was rejected, as their prices were only good if over $25,000 retail amount was ordered. In addition, Mr. Kish recommended that the remainder of the bids opened and read be rejected, as specifications for the furniture are to be rewritten, and recommended approval for the advertisement of the receipt of bids. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be awarded as outlined above, and the request to advertise for the receipt of bids be approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. APPROVAL OF REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following requests to advertise for the receipt of bids were approved: - ONE (1) 1995 SKID STEER LOADER In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chelbowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for one (1) 1995 skid steer loader. - NEW IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR STUDEBAKER GOLF COURSE AND IRRIGATION EQUIPMENT UPGRADE FOR ERSKINE GOLF COURSE - PROJECT NO 95-14 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. APPROVE TITLE SHEETS - NEW IRRIGATION SYSTEM - STUDEBAKER GOLF COURSE AND IRRIGATION EQUIPMENT UPGRADE-ERSKINE GOLF COURSE - PROJECT NO. 95- 14 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheets for the above referred to project were being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to Title Sheets were approved and signed. APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved and/or released as follows: [1 1
