REGULAR MEETING JULY 17, 1995
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said property be disposed of and removed from the City
<br />inventory.

<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Roger and Chris Holbrook, 1812 East Irvington Avenue, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the
<br />above referred to block party, on Saturday, August 5, 1995, on East Irvington from Sampson Street
<br />to Southeast Street, from 12:00 noon until 10:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski,
<br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Vita Johnson, 821 North Allen Street, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party, on Saturday, July 15, 1995, on Allen Street from Van Buren to California, from 1:00
<br />p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Anne Ginter, 1725 Georgian Drive, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party, on Saturday, July 22, 1995, on Georgian Drive, from Cape Cod to Cotswold, from 1:00
<br />p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE A PORTION OF ASSUMPTION DRIVE -
<br />ST. MARY OF THE ASSUMPTION CHURCH FESTIVAL
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Fr. Paul McCarthy, St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 3501 South Locust Road, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, to close a portion of Assumption Drive, in conjunction with the above referred to parish
<br />festival, on Friday, August 11, Saturday, August 12, and Sunday, August 13, 1995. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Leszczynski , seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT DUATHLON - MEMORIAL
<br />HOSPITAL
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. Philip Newbold, Memorial Hospital, 615 North Michigan, South Bend,
<br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to duathlon, on Sunday, September 10,1995, beginning at 8:00
<br />a.m., on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by
<br />Mrs. Manier and carried, the recommendation was approved.
