<br />AWARD BID - NEAR WESTSIDE PARTNERSHIP CENTER SERVICE AREA - PROJECT NO.

<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on June 19, 1995, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell
<br />recommends that the Board award the contract to Phend and Brown, Post Office Box 218, Milford,
<br />Indiana, in the amount of $127,070.00. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the
<br />motion which carried.
<br />AWARD BIDS - STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM - ELECTRICAL REPAIR, FIRE
<br />ALARM SYSTEM, FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM - PROJECT NO. 95-48
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on June 19, 1995, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell
<br />recommends that the Board award the contracts to the lowest bidder in each division as follows:
<br />Electrical Repair McDaniel Fire Protection, Inc. $14,966.00
<br />Fire Alarm System Herrman & Goetz, Inc. $26,700.00
<br />Fire Sprinkler System Shambaugh & Son $24,326.00
<br />Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD OUOTATION - 219 N. HILL STREET - SIDEWALK. CURB AND APPROACH
<br />REPAIRS - PROJECT NO. 95-29
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on June 19, 1995, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell
<br />recommends that the Board award the contract to Kaser-Spraker, 25487 West State Road 2, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $24,803.00. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bids be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded
<br />the motion which carried.
<br />AWARD OUOTATION - POTAWATOMI ZOO - RED BARN RESTROOM REMODELING -
<br />PROJECT NO. 95-41
<br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on June 19, 1995, bids
<br />were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Littrell
<br />recommends that the Board award the contract to Woodcox Building Contractor, Inc., 51175
<br />Prescott Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $24,926.00. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski
<br />made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be awarded as outlined above. Mr.
<br />Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - CHAPIN STREET REDEVELOPMENT AREA -
<br />DIVISION "A" & `B" - PROJECT NO. 95-23
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on June 5, 1995, to Warner and
<br />sons, Post Office Box 87, Elkhart, Indiana, in the amount of $14,891.50 for the above referred to
<br />project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Contract was approved and the
<br />appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as
<br />submitted were filed.
<br />APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - CHAPIN STREET REDEVELOPMENT AREA -
<br />DIVISION "C" - PROJECT NO.95-23
<br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on June 12, 1995, to Wagoner
<br />Excavating, 1373 East State Road 4, LaPorte, Indiana, in the amount of $22,950.00 for the above
<br />referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Contract was approved
<br />and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance, Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment
<br />Bond as submitted were filed.
