REGULAR MEETING JUNE 26, 1995
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION LICENSE APPLICATION FOR RUBBISH AND
<br />GARBAGE REMOVAL SERVICE - RENEWAL
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Building
<br />Commissioner, Code Enforcement and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a Renewal of a
<br />License Application as submitted by Mr. Douglas Guest, 225 S. Logan, South Bend, Indiana, for
<br />Rubbish and Garbage Removal Service at 229 South Logan, South Bend, Indiana. Further, the
<br />Division of Environmental Services has inspected the vehicles to be used in conjunction with the
<br />service. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the
<br />License Application was approved and forwarded to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of
<br />the license.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Richard Chapman, 1020 E. Irvington, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party on Saturday, July 1, 1995, from 1:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., on Dale Street, between
<br />Irvington and Eckman Streets. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Ms. Susan Farrell, 1842 Wilber, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block
<br />party on Tuesday, July 4, 1995, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the 1800 block of Wilber Street.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mrs. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation
<br />was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Lois Hugins, 822 South Bendix, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block
<br />party on Sunday, July 2, 1995, from 1:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m., in the 800 block of South Bendix
<br />Street. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - SIDEWALK PERMIT APPLICATION
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department, Fire Department and the City Attorney's office,
<br />in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Dan Luczynski, Fantasia Funnyworks, 230 S. Michigan
<br />Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to sale of collectibles and t-shirts, on
<br />Friday, June 30,1995, Saturday, July 1,1995, and Sunday, July 2, 1995, in front of 230 S. Michigan,
<br />in conjunction with the Ethnic Festival. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr.
<br />Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - SIDEWALK PERMIT APPLICATION
<br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to
<br />a request as submitted by Ms. Joan Moon, Wig Fashion and Jewelry, 307 S. Michigan Street, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to sale of costume jewelry, bandanas, watches, purses,
<br />and caps on Friday, June 30, 1995, Saturday July 1, 1995, and Sunday, July 2, 1995, in front of 230
<br />S. Michigan, in conjunction with the Ethnic Festival. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier,
<br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the recommendation was approved.
