352 <br />REGULAR MEETING JUNE 26, 1995 <br />APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - SAMPLE EWING REDEVELOPMENT <br />AREA - PHASE I - PACKAGE 3 - PROJECT NO.95-15 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Bob Allen, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the <br />Project Completion Affidavit on behalf of Warner & Sons, 29099 U.S. 33 West, Elkhart, Indiana, <br />for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of $29,950.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF AGREEMENTS - NEIGHBORHOOD SUMMER YOUTH GRANTS <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Pamela Meyer, Director, Community and Economic Development, <br />submitted the following Grant Agreements and recommended approval: <br />River Bend Historic Neighborhood/NNN, Inc. <br />Riley Environmental Educational Society <br />S.E. Gardening Project <br />Rum Village Neighborhood Association <br />Recreational, educational, cultural and sports <br />activities for approximately thirty (30) River <br />Bend Historic District Neighborhood youth, <br />located at Leeper Park. <br />The Society will purchase equipment to clean <br />and paint graffiti defaced bridges, overpasses, <br />and viaducts in South Bend neighborhoods. <br />A group of youngsters all under sixteen (16) <br />years of age will be harvesting and selling <br />food from gardens developed on vacant lots <br />int he Southeast neighborhood. <br />Involves the coordination of three (3) projects <br />and a Neighborhood Fund Day, with weekly <br />activities every Tuesday afternoon. <br />Ms. Myers stated that these are the first Grant Agreements awarding four (4) Neighborhood Summer <br />Youth Grants as part of South Bend's Good Neighbors/Good Neighborhoods Program. Further, <br />these awards were based on applications reviewed by a Youth Development Commission/City <br />committee, and were awarded for $2,000.00 each. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded <br />by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Grant Agreements were approved and executed. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - CENTURY CENTER SOUND SYSTEM - PROJECT NO.94-92 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Bob Allen, Public Construction Manger, has submitted Change <br />Order No. S-1, on behalf of Communication Company of South Bend Inc., 60200 South Main Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, indicating that the Contract amount be decreased $2,100.00 for a new Contract <br />sum including this Change Order in the amount of $37,875.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. <br />Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Change Order was approved. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 40-1995 - TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE SOUTH <br />BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, Resolution No. <br />40-1995 was adopted. <br />RESOLUTION NO.40-1995 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY <br />TO THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana (the "City") is the owner of the following <br />described real property situated in St. Joseph County, Indiana: <br />1 <br />1 <br />F <br />
