352 REGULAR MEETING JUNE 26, 1995 APPROVE PROJECT COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT - SAMPLE EWING REDEVELOPMENT AREA - PHASE I - PACKAGE 3 - PROJECT NO.95-15 Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Bob Allen, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Project Completion Affidavit on behalf of Warner & Sons, 29099 U.S. 33 West, Elkhart, Indiana, for the above referred to project, indicating a final cost of $29,950.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Project Completion Affidavit was approved. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENTS - NEIGHBORHOOD SUMMER YOUTH GRANTS In a letter to the Board, Ms. Pamela Meyer, Director, Community and Economic Development, submitted the following Grant Agreements and recommended approval: River Bend Historic Neighborhood/NNN, Inc. Riley Environmental Educational Society S.E. Gardening Project Rum Village Neighborhood Association Recreational, educational, cultural and sports activities for approximately thirty (30) River Bend Historic District Neighborhood youth, located at Leeper Park. The Society will purchase equipment to clean and paint graffiti defaced bridges, overpasses, and viaducts in South Bend neighborhoods. A group of youngsters all under sixteen (16) years of age will be harvesting and selling food from gardens developed on vacant lots int he Southeast neighborhood. Involves the coordination of three (3) projects and a Neighborhood Fund Day, with weekly activities every Tuesday afternoon. Ms. Myers stated that these are the first Grant Agreements awarding four (4) Neighborhood Summer Youth Grants as part of South Bend's Good Neighbors/Good Neighborhoods Program. Further, these awards were based on applications reviewed by a Youth Development Commission/City committee, and were awarded for $2,000.00 each. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Grant Agreements were approved and executed. APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - CENTURY CENTER SOUND SYSTEM - PROJECT NO.94-92 Mr. Leszczynski advised that Mr. Bob Allen, Public Construction Manger, has submitted Change Order No. S-1, on behalf of Communication Company of South Bend Inc., 60200 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, indicating that the Contract amount be decreased $2,100.00 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order in the amount of $37,875.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Change Order was approved. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 40-1995 - TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY TO THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, Resolution No. 40-1995 was adopted.
