02210 <br />REGULAR MEETING APRIL 24, 1995 <br />- TO CONDUCT THE MAURICE MATTHYS LITTLE LEAGUE PARADE <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Rick Kring, Maurice Matthys Little League, Inc., Box 3074, South <br />Bend, Indiana, submitted a request to conduct a parade on Saturday, May 6, 1995, beginning at 9:00 <br />a.m. <br />- TO CONDUCT SUNBURST 5K, IOK, AND FUN WALK <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Mark Chambers, Memorial Health Foundation, 615 North Michigan, <br />South Bend, Indiana, submitted a request to conduct the annual Sunburst 5K, 1 OK Races and Fun <br />Walk, on Saturday, June 10, 1995, beginning at 7:45 a.m. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following seven <br />(7) traffic control devices were approved: <br />REMOVAL OF: <br />Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: <br />425 Madison <br />REVISED TO: <br />Install at 1201 Van Buren <br />REMARKS: <br />Mrs. McGill moved to 1201 Van Buren. <br />REMOVAL OF: <br />One-way Sign <br />LOCATION: <br />700 block West Napier, between Scott and Chapin <br />REMARKS: <br />Request was originally made by Father Rybicki, when school <br />was in place. School demolished in 1967. <br />REMOVAL OF: One -Hour Parking <br />LOCATION: 707 Cedar, Madison Street Side <br />REMARKS: Building sold to St. Joseph Hospital; signs not needed. <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 1829 Pulaski <br />REMARKS: Mr. Robert Steuer has met all requirements. <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 1009 North Brookfield <br />REMARKS: Mr. Paul Blair has met all requirements. <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 529 East Haney <br />REMARKS: Mrs. Mary Coleman has met all requirements. <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Handicap Sign <br />LOCATION: 212 West Oakside <br />REMARKS: Mrs. Pearl Stawnik has met all requirements. <br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Excavation Bond be approved as follows: <br />Douglas Blakely d/b/a Do All Contractor Approved Effective 4/24/95 <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved <br />as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />
