Bertrand Products, Inc. <br />2323 Foundation Drive <br />South Bend, Indiana 46628 <br />APRIL 17. 1995 <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above <br />referred to Wastewater Discharge Permits were approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - OPEN-AIR BUSINESS <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that favorable recommendations have been received from the Police <br />Department, Code Enforcement, Division of Engineering, Building Department and the Legal <br />Department, in reference to the License Application for an Open -Air Business, as submitted by the <br />South Bend Shrine Club, Inc., 430 North Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the sale of <br />Vandalia onions at Sample and Fellows Streets and Lincolnway and Ironwood, April 12, 1995 <br />through April 30, 1995, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the License Application for Open -Air Business was <br />approved. <br />AWARD BID - 1995 PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM - PROJECT NO 95-20 <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on March 27, 1995, <br />bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. <br />Littrell recommends that the Board award the contract to Phend & Brown, Post Office Box 218, <br />Milford, Indiana, as follows: <br />Zone 4 $90,185.00 <br />Zone 5 <br />$90,185.00 <br />Zone 6 <br />$90,185.00 <br />Zone 7 <br />$90,185.00 <br />Zone 8 <br />$90,185.00 <br />Zone 1113 <br />$94,185.00 <br />Zone 11 C <br />$94,185.00 <br />Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bids be <br />awarded as outlined above. Mr. Leszczynski seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, this Agenda item <br />was tabled. <br />APPROVE REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />Requests to Advertise for the Receipt of Bids were approved: <br />- TROMMEL TYPE SCREENING MACHINE <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Matthew L. Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, <br />requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for a Trommel Type Screening Machine for <br />use at the Organic Resources Facility. <br />- LIGHT BULBS <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. George S. Zana, Purchasing Manager, Division of Equipment Services, <br />requested permission to advertise for light bulbs. <br />
