REGULAR MEETING MARCH 20, 1995 <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO MOVE FLAG POLES - HOLIDAY INN - <br />DOWNTON <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board has received favorable recommendations from the Legal <br />Department, Police Department, Building Commissioner, Redevelopment and Design Review <br />Committee, and the Division of Engineering, concerning the request from Holiday Inn Downtown <br />to relocate pre-existing flag poles from the Main Street side to the Washington Street Side, subject <br />to suitable location without interference with street lighting which may require removal of tree and <br />grate. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczysnki, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the <br />recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF REQUESTS TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczysnki, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />requests to advertise for the receipt of bids were approved: <br />- ABANDONED VEHICLES <br />Ms. Kathy Dempsey, Director, Code Enforcement, requested permission to advertise for the receipt <br />of bids for approximately twenty-four (24) abandoned vehicles. <br />- MISCELLANEOUS VEHICLES - EQUIPMENT SERVICES <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Equipment Services, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the following equipment: <br />Four (4) Mid Size Program Car <br />Two (2) Compact Program Car <br />One (1) New Compact Auto <br />One (1) Utility Vehicle <br />Three (3) 3/4 Ton Pick -Up <br />One (1) 3/4 Ton 4WD Pick -Up <br />One (1) 3/4 Ton Extended Chassis <br />Two (2) 3/4 Ton 4WD Suburban <br />One (1) 4WD Compact Pick -Up <br />One (1) FWD Cargo Mini Van <br />One (1) Full Size Cargo Van <br />One (1) 15000 lb. GVW Chassis <br />Two (2) S/A Dump Truck <br />One (1) T/A Dump Truck <br />One (1) Jet Rodder/Vacuum Machine <br />One (1) Set Hydraulic Bucket Machine <br />Two (2) Portable Air Compressor <br />- ARCHITECTURAL SIGNAGE - COLLEGE FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. David W. Fox, Gerard Hilferty and Associates, Inc., 14240 Route 550, <br />Athens, Ohio, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for architectural signage for <br />the College Football Hall of Fame. <br />- POLYMERS - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - REBID <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Robert Toppel, Wastewater Treatment Plant, requested <br />permission to re -advertise for the receipt of bids for polymers. Mr. Toppel stated that due to a <br />process upset in the digester, the dates for polymer evaluation must be moved ahead approximately <br />sixty (60) days. <br />- STREET MATERIALS <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for 1995 Street Materials to be used by the Street <br />Department, Sewer Department and other City agencies during the coming construction season. <br />
