457 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Grant <br />Adams High School/Anthony Allen <br />Revelation Church of God <br />Vision Care Ministry/ <br />Shardi Kingsberry <br />OCTOBER 28, 1996 <br />Amount Purpose <br />$1,357.60 Six (6) Adams minority males to attend <br />the Black Male in the Family and <br />Community conference in Indianapolis <br />on October 28 and 29, 1996. <br />$1,915.21 Provide funds for a neighborhood clean <br />up for senior citizens and several social <br />outings and a cooking project. <br />$1,680.44 Older children involved in after school <br />day care program with adult sponsors <br />to build an indoor greenhouse. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the <br />Agreements were approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - REBUILD OF WORTHINGTON ENGINE - WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT PLANT <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and <br />Three Star Electric, Inc., 56540 Twin Branch Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana, for the rebuild of a <br />Worthington Engine at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Agreement <br />is in the amount of $52,888.00 for the rebuild. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF TERMINATION OF ASSIGNMENT AND SECURITY AGREEMENT <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that a Termination of Assignment and Security Agreement has been submitted <br />to the Board for approval. Mr. Leszczynski stated that the termination is done as a part of the <br />substitution of the letter of the credit issuer on the College Football Hall of Fame bonds. Upon a <br />motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Termination of <br />Assignment and Security was approved and executed. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 76-1996 - INTENT TO LEASE OFFICE SPACE AT 205 WEST <br />JEFFERSON BOULEVARD, SOUTH BEND INDIANA. FOR THE USE OF THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, DIVISION OF PLANNING <br />AND NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-1996 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, DECLARING ITS <br />INTENT TO LEASE OFFICE SPACE AT 205 WEST <br />JEFFERSON BOULEVARD, SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE <br />USE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, DIVISION OF PLANNING AND <br />NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT <br />WHEREAS, the current offices of the South Bend Department of Economic Development, <br />located at 205 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, provide insufficient space to <br />accommodate the Division of Planning and Neighborhood Development, and to allow for effective <br />and efficient operations of these various divisions of the Department of Economic Development; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of the City of South Bend, Department of Economic Development, <br />has recommended that the Division of Planning and Neighborhood Development, comprising seven <br />(7) full-time staff members and three (3) part-time intern, expand its offices; and <br />i� <br />1 <br />
