447 REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 14, 1996 Galien, Michigan, for an Application for a Sidewalk Cafe at 105 East Jefferson, South Bend, Indiana. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Application for a Sidewalk Cafe was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY - INSTALLATION OF SIGN - 222 SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET - OLD CHICAGO STEAKHOUSE Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations from the Division of Engineering, Police Department, Building Commissioner and the Redevelopment Design Review Committee for the installation of a sign at 222 South Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, subject to an Indemnification and Hold Harmless Undertaking. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT RED RIBBON MARCH Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Bernice Freeman, United Community Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 914 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to march, on Friday, November 1, 1996, commencing at 10:00 a.m., on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following six (6) traffic control devices was approved: REMOVAL OF: No Parking & 2 Hour Parking LOCATION: 100 Block East Broadway south & north of street REMARKS: Treatment Center needs open parking to handle the Overflow from the parking lot NEW INSTALLATION: Do No Enter - Buses Only LOCATION: Park Lane Lafayette to Main REMARKS: Temporary signs to be used only at 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. When school children are loading the buses NEW INSTALLATION: LOCATION: REMARKS: REMOVAL OF LOCATION: REMARKS: NEW INSTALLATION: LOCATION: REMARKS: REMOVAL OF LOCATION: REMARKS: Handicap Sign 519 South Olive St. Adalbert's Church request - Two handicap spaces To be installed mid block between church/school Handicap Sign 1006 East Wayne Signs are no longer needed Handicap Sign 2214 Mishawaka Avenue River Park Partnership Center request Handicap Sign 3406 West Washington Sign not needed APPROVE TITLE SHEET - COMBINED SEWER OVERFLOW DISCONNECTIONS - PROJECT NO. 95-110 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed. 1 1
