<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Indemnification
<br />and Hold Harmless Agreements were approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY -
<br />SIGN INSTALLATION
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Design Review, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Awnings of Michiana, 2100 Lincolnway West, Mishawaka, Indiana, to
<br />install a fabric awning at Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. Therefore, upon a motion made
<br />by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation as approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ST JOSEPH'S HEALTH
<br />CENTER ICE CREAM SOCIAL
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Sister Maura Brannick, St. Joseph's Health Center, 303-305 South Chapin, South
<br />Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to ice cream social, on Sunday, October 13, 1996, from
<br />12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., on Napier from Pine to Chapin. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs.
<br />Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO REMOVE PARKING RESTRICTIONS - TEMPLE
<br />BETH-EL - HOLY DAY SERVICES
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Ms. Gail Dowry, Temple Beth -El, 305 West Madison Street, South Bend, Indiana to
<br />remove parking restrictions in front of Temple Beth -El, in conjunction with their Holy Day Services,
<br />from Friday, September 13, 1996, through Monday, September 23, 1996. Upon a motion made by
<br />Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO REMOVE PARKING RESTRICTIONS - SINAI
<br />SYNAGOGUE, HIGH HOLY DAYS
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Mr. Richard Wein, Sinai Synagogue, 1102 East LaSalle Avenue, South Bend, Indiana
<br />to remove parking restrictions around the Sinai Synagogue, from Saturday, September 14, 1996,
<br />through Monday, September 23, 1996, in conjunction with their High Holy Days. Therefore, upon
<br />a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mrs. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as
<br />submitted by Ms. Darlene Sims, 223 South Camden, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above
<br />referred to block party, on Saturday, September 14, 1996, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., on
<br />Camden Street, from Jefferson to Western. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell,
<br />seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the recommendation was approved.
