REGULAR MEETING <br />AUGUST 12, 1996 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend that the items listed below are no longer needed by the City, are unfit for the purpose for which <br />they were intended; and have an estimated value of less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00). <br />TWENTY (20) CANNON LIGHTING INSTRUMENTS <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said equipment may be transferred or sold at public <br />auction or private sale, without advertising. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF REOUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ORGANIC <br />RESOURCES FACILITY - ASPHALT PAVING - PROJECT NO. 96-37 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated <br />that this project will construct an asphalt pavement on a new compost handling field and an access <br />roadway at the Organic Resources Facility. The Division of Environmental Services has <br />appropriated sufficient funds for this project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, <br />seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was <br />approved. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right <br />to Remonstrate as submitted by Ken and Paula Kiang. The Consent indicates that in consideration <br />for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer <br />service to 136 East Pendle Street, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 03-1129-0064), the Kiang's waive <br />and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of <br />the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Consent <br />be approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right <br />to Remonstrate as submitted by Mr. Larry G. Snyder. The Consent indicates that in consideration <br />for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer <br />service to 51744 West Gatehouse Drive, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1234-9627), Mr. Snyder <br />waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future <br />annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion <br />that the Consent be approved.
