REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 12, 1996 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend that the items listed below are no longer needed by the City, are unfit for the purpose for which they were intended; and have an estimated value of less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00). TWENTY (20) CANNON LIGHTING INSTRUMENTS BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said equipment may be transferred or sold at public auction or private sale, without advertising. Jacob, Clerk APPROVAL OF REOUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ORGANIC RESOURCES FACILITY - ASPHALT PAVING - PROJECT NO. 96-37 In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this project will construct an asphalt pavement on a new compost handling field and an access roadway at the Organic Resources Facility. The Division of Environmental Services has appropriated sufficient funds for this project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate as submitted by Ken and Paula Kiang. The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 136 East Pendle Street, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 03-1129-0064), the Kiang's waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate as submitted by Mr. Larry G. Snyder. The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 51744 West Gatehouse Drive, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1234-9627), Mr. Snyder waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CONSENTS TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVERS OF RIGHT TO REMONSTRATE Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of thirty-two (32) Consents to Annexation and Waiver of Rights to Remonstrate for the following owners of property in St. Joseph County, for water service for the Dollar Lake area.
