REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 5. 1996 <br />ADDRESS <br />215 Dayton <br />Key No. 18-7042-1661 <br />ADOPTED this 5th day of August, 1996. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/John E. Leszczynski, President <br />s/James R. Caldwell, Member <br />s/Jenny Pitts Manier, Member <br />ATTEST: <br />s/Angela K. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR RESERVED HANDICAP PARKING <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Rules and Regulations for Reserved Handicap Parking have been <br />submitted for Reserved Handicap Parking. Further, the monthly payment for the Handicap Parking <br />will be Thirty -Five Dollars ($35.00) per month, and shall be made payable to the Clerk of the Board <br />by the first Monday of every month. The permit will be valid only for the vehicle to which it is <br />registered. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the <br />Rules and Regulations for Reserved Handicap Parking were approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RESERVED HANDICAP PARKING AREA APPLICATIONS <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Police <br />Department, Traffic and Lighting and the Legal Department, for the following requests for Reserved <br />Handicap Parking Area: <br />Sharon Brown South Bend Tribune 225 West Colfax <br />Ann Noens St. Joseph County Clerk 227 West Jefferson <br />Office <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that the above mentioned individuals have met the criteria as set forth by the <br />Board of Public Works for Reserved Handicap Parking Area. Therefore, upon a motion made by <br />Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Reserved Handicap Parking Area <br />Applications were approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATIONS - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTIES <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to the following requests <br />for block parties: <br />Cynthia Pope Cottage Grove from California to VanBuren Friday, August 9, 1996 <br />921 Cottage Grove 1:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. <br />Larry Palmer Illinois from Washington to Linden Saturday, August 24, 1996 <br />226 N. Illinois 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. <br />Paul Hayden LaPorte from W. Washington to W. Colfax Saturday, September 7, 1996 <br />Historic District 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. <br />914 Lincolnway West <br />Carol Gropp 30th Street from Pleasant to Northside Sunday, August 18, 1996 <br />1322 S. 30th 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. <br />Robert Biggs Georgian from Cape Cod to Georgian Crt.
