<br />APPROVE CONSENTS TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVERS OF RIGHT TO REMONSTRATE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of thirteen (13) Consents to Annexation and Waiver
<br />of Rights to Remonstrate for the following owners of property in St. Joseph County, for water
<br />service for the Dollar Lake area.

<br />Each Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public water system of
<br />the City, and to provide water service to the above noted properties, South Bend, Indiana, the above
<br />listed property owners waive and release any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any
<br />pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mrs. Manier
<br />made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried.
<br />APPROVAL OF GRANT OF PERPETUAL EASEMENT - BOWMAN CREEK DRAINAGE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Grant of Perpetual Easement for the Bowman
<br />Creek drainage between the City of South Bend and Garry and Donna Carver, 815 Dayton, South
<br />Bend, Indiana, for a segment of Bowman Creek located adjacent to the Grantors real estate, for the
<br />reconstruction and the right to ingress and egress from said easement, as submitted. Therefore, upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Grant of Perpetual
<br />Easement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT INTERSECTION SOLICITATION -
<br />MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Stephanie Santos, Muscular Dystrophy Association, 112 North Main Street, Mishawaka,
<br />Indiana to conduct an intersection solicitation at Miami and Ireland; Lombardy and Western; and
<br />Lincolnway East and Twyckenham, in conjunction with "Jerry's Kids", on Sunday, August 25,1996,
<br />from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier
<br />and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT JINGLE BELL RUN, 5K RUN -
<br />ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Park Department, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ms. Marylynn Becker, Arthritis Foundation, Life State Center, 1024 North
<br />Notre Dame Avenue, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to Jingle Bell Run, 5K Run,
<br />on Saturday, December 7, 1996, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., on the designated route as
<br />submitted. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
