REGULAR MEETING JULY 15. 1996 <br />APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - ENGINEERING SERVICES - LAWSON-FISHER ASSOCIATES <br />Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and <br />Lawson Fisher Associates, 525 West Washington Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, for engineering <br />design services to provide design plans and a special provision for a section of Jackson Road and <br />an overflow from the Falls Church Court improvements, both located in the Clyde Creek Watershed. <br />Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Proposal is in the amount of $7,500.00. Therefore, upon a motion <br />made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Proposal was approved and <br />executed. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 50-1996 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 50 - 1996 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the following property <br />is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and is no longer needed by the City of South Bend: <br />ONE(1) 25X50 BLACK CLOTH STAGE BACKDROP <br />ONE (1) LARGE MOVIE SCREEN AND FRAME <br />WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-60 permits and establishes procedure for disposal of <br />personal property which is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and which is no longer <br />needed by the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South <br />Bend that the items listed above are no longer needed by the City; are unfit for the purpose for which <br />they were intended and have an estimated value of less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said equipment may be transferred or sold at public <br />auction or private sale, without advertising. Jacob, Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF REOUEST TO REJECT BIDS - DRUM TYPE WOOD CHIPPER <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, <br />requested permission to reject the one (1) bid received on May 20, 1996, for one (1) more or less <br />drum type wood chipper. Mr. Chlebowski stated that the bid did not meet the specifications, as it <br />did not include a hydraulic feed system. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, <br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request to reject bids was approved. <br />
