REGULAR MEETING JULY 15. 1996 APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - ENGINEERING SERVICES - LAWSON-FISHER ASSOCIATES Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and Lawson Fisher Associates, 525 West Washington Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, for engineering design services to provide design plans and a special provision for a section of Jackson Road and an overflow from the Falls Church Court improvements, both located in the Clyde Creek Watershed. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Proposal is in the amount of $7,500.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed. RESOLUTION NO. 50-1996 - DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 50 - 1996 A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON DISPOSAL OF UNFIT AND/OR OBSOLETE PROPERTY WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public Works that the following property is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and is no longer needed by the City of South Bend: ONE(1) 25X50 BLACK CLOTH STAGE BACKDROP ONE (1) LARGE MOVIE SCREEN AND FRAME WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-1-11-60 permits and establishes procedure for disposal of personal property which is unfit for the purpose for which it was intended and which is no longer needed by the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend that the items listed above are no longer needed by the City; are unfit for the purpose for which they were intended and have an estimated value of less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said equipment may be transferred or sold at public auction or private sale, without advertising. However, if the property is deemed worthless, such may be demolished or junked. ADOPTED this 15th day of July, 1996. BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA s/John E. Jacob, Clerk APPROVAL OF REOUEST TO REJECT BIDS - DRUM TYPE WOOD CHIPPER In a letter to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Division of Equipment Services, requested permission to reject the one (1) bid received on May 20, 1996, for one (1) more or less drum type wood chipper. Mr. Chlebowski stated that the bid did not meet the specifications, as it did not include a hydraulic feed system. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request to reject bids was approved.
