Qpk-15 REGULAR MEETING MAY 13. 1996 FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION = PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF PROPERTY OF F. JAY NIMTZ PARKWAY Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as completed by Mr. James Riggs, City of South Bend Redevelopment Department, South Bend, Indiana to vacate the following alley: A part of F. Jay Nimtz Parkway, located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 38 North, Range 2 East, German Township, city of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, more particularly described in documentation submitted to the Board. Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works. Therefore, Mrs. Manier made a motion that the Board send a favorable recommendation to the Common Council concerning this Vacation Petition. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. COPPERFIELD ANNEXATIONIFISCAL PLAN MODIFICATION TABLED Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the modification to the Copperfield Annexation Fiscal Plan was tabled. APPROVE TITLE SHEET - KETTERING DRIVE STORM SEWER - PROJECT NO. 96-20 Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following five (5) traffic control devices were approved: REMOVAL OF: LOCATION: REMARKS: REMOVAL OF: LOCATION: REMARKS: Handicap Sign 423 South 26th Street Signs are not needed Handicap Sign 2486 Bow Court Signs are not needed NEW INSTALLATION: Hour 6A to 6P LOCATION: 2010 South Michigan REMARKS: Requested by WHLY Radio Hollywood for Business turnover REMOVAL: REVISED TO: LOCATION: REMARKS: NEW INSTALLATION: LOCATION: REMARKS: No Parking Sign Tow Zone 2500 block Riverside Parking problems Stop Sign Bellewood & Woodhill "T" Intersection APPROVE CONTRACTOR BOND Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following Contractor Bond be approved as follows: BOND OF CONTRACTOR Harvey R. Bryant Approved May 13, 1996, Retroactive to May 6, 1996 Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried.
