Qpk-15 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 13. 1996 <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION = PETITION TO VACATE A PORTION OF PROPERTY <br />OF F. JAY NIMTZ PARKWAY <br />Mr. Leszczynski indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition <br />as completed by Mr. James Riggs, City of South Bend Redevelopment Department, South Bend, <br />Indiana to vacate the following alley: <br />A part of F. Jay Nimtz Parkway, located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 19, Township <br />38 North, Range 2 East, German Township, city of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, <br />more particularly described in documentation submitted to the Board. <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this <br />Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, <br />Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works. Therefore, Mrs. <br />Manier made a motion that the Board send a favorable recommendation to the Common Council <br />concerning this Vacation Petition. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />COPPERFIELD ANNEXATIONIFISCAL PLAN MODIFICATION TABLED <br />Upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the modification <br />to the Copperfield Annexation Fiscal Plan was tabled. <br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET - KETTERING DRIVE STORM SEWER - PROJECT NO. 96-20 <br />Mr. Leszczynski advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented <br />at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and <br />carried, the above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following five (5) <br />traffic control devices were approved: <br />REMOVAL OF: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />REMOVAL OF: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />Handicap Sign <br />423 South 26th Street <br />Signs are not needed <br />Handicap Sign <br />2486 Bow Court <br />Signs are not needed <br />NEW INSTALLATION: Hour 6A to 6P <br />LOCATION: 2010 South Michigan <br />REMARKS: Requested by WHLY Radio Hollywood for <br />Business turnover <br />REMOVAL: <br />REVISED TO: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />NEW INSTALLATION: <br />LOCATION: <br />REMARKS: <br />No Parking Sign <br />Tow Zone <br />2500 block Riverside <br />Parking problems <br />Stop Sign <br />Bellewood & Woodhill <br />"T" Intersection <br />APPROVE CONTRACTOR BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractor Bond be approved as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />Harvey R. Bryant Approved May 13, 1996, Retroactive to May 6, 1996 <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved <br />as outlined above. Mrs. Manier seconded the motion which carried. <br />
