Leszczynski, President <br />s/Jenny Pitts Manier, Member <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTH BEND <br />CONTROL, INFORMATION COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - PHASE II - PROJECT NO.95-55 <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested <br />permission to advertise for the sale of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that <br />this project will construct and install controls and communications system at the Wasatewater <br />Treatment Plant to modernize them. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded <br />by Mrs. Manier and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved. <br />REQUEST REFERRED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />request was referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for recommendation: <br />- TO ENCROACH ONTO PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />In a letter to the Board, Mr. Brian Jesswein, Forest Sign & Display, Inc., 2729 South Main Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, requested permission to install one (1) double face internally illuminated <br />display sign, per sketch as submitted, at Harris Liquor, 1125 South Bend Avenue, South Bend, <br />Indiana. Mr. Jesswein stated that they have chosen to go with a smaller sign, as the existing sign is <br />being hit by delivery trucks. <br />APPROVE EXCAVATION BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Excavation Bond be aoorived as follows: <br />EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Alt & Witzig Engineering, Inc. Approved Effective January 8, 1996 <br />Mr. Leszczynski made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be approved <br />as outlined above.
