I REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 8. 1996 KYM ORANGE 4433 Huron South Bend, Indiana 46619 Red Tag Vehicle Year VIN Bid 27555 Dodge 1972 WH23P2A138277 1125.00 TOTAL $125.00 Therefore, upon a motion made by Mrs. Manier, seconded by Mr. Leszczynski and carried, the bids were awarded as outlined above. APPROVAL OF AGREEMENT - PURCHASE AGREEMENT - CITY PROPERTY - KENMORE STREET - LOTS 23 AND 24 Mr. Leszczynski stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and Mr. Anthony Adamo, Post office Box 611, South Bend, Indiana, for the purchase of the above referred to property. Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $1.00 for the two (2) lots. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 1-1996 - DISPOSAL OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY - KENMORE STREET - LOTS 23 AND 24 Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO. 1 - 1996 WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has compiled a current detailed inventory of all real property owned by the City of South Bend; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has reviewed said inventory of real property and it finds that certain parcels of real estate now owned by the City of South Bend are not necessary to the public use and are not set aside by State and City laws for public purposes; and WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works finds that the properties described below have an assessed valuation of less than $2,000.00, that the cost of maintaining said parcels equals or exceeds the estimated fair market value of the parcels, and that the highest and best use of the parcels is sale to an abutting landowner. WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works now wishes to take the necessary action to make it possible for the Board, in the future, to sell said parcels of real estate pursuant to State statutes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: 1. That the parcels of real estate owned by the City contained in the following list are not necessary to the public use, are not set aside by State or City laws for public purposes, that the cost of maintaining said parcels equals or exceeds the estimated fair market value of said parcels and the highest and best use of said parcels is sale to an abutting landowner: ADDRESSES Lot 23 Lincoln Park 1 st Key No. 18-4076-2771 Lot 24 ex 2' x 62' NE corner Lincoln Park 1 st Key No. 18-4076-2769
