Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />REQUESTS REFERRED <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Leszczynski, seconded by Mrs. Manier and carried, the following <br />requests were referred to the appropriate Bureaus and Departments for recommendation: <br />- TO PURCHASE CITY -OWNED PROPERTY - 749 NORTH CLEVELAND AVENUE <br />In a letter to the Board, Ms. Della Jenkins, 745 North Cleveland Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, <br />requested permission to purchase the above referred to property. Ms. Jenkins stated that the lot has <br />been vacant for at least ten (10) years, and has been a dumping ground for discarded paper, bottles <br />and other debris. Further, she has maintained the property over the years and would like to secure <br />it for the purpose of planting a garden in the Spring. <br />- TO CONDUCT ANNIVERSARY MARCH - ST JOSEPH COUNTY RIGHT TO LIFE <br />Ms. Mary MacDonell, St. Joseph County Right to Life, 320 North Lafayette Boulevard, South Bend, <br />Indiana, submitted an Application for Use of the Public Right -of -Way, to conduct an Anniversary <br />March, commemorating January 22, 19973, Roe vs. Wade decision, on Monday, January 22, 1996, <br />from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., on Main and Jefferson and extending around the entire block. <br />- TO CONDUCT WALKAMERICA - MARCH OF DIMES BIRTH DEFECTS FUND <br />Mr. Thomas E. Gerard, March of Dimes, 501 East Monroe, South Bend, Indiana, submitted an <br />Application for Use of Public Right -of -Way, to conduct Walkamerica, on Saturday, April 27, 1996, <br />from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., on the designated route as submitted. <br />APPROVE RELEASE OF CONTRACTOR BOND <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractor Bond be released as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />Donat Construction Released Effective December 18, 1995 <br />Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be released <br />as outlined above.
