<br />the third phase of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, street, curb and sidewalk extension on Locust Road
<br />south of Prairie Avenue. This phase of the project will construct these improvements from Donmoyer
<br />Avenue to Saint Mary's Drive. Sufficient funds have been appropriated from sewer revenues.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request
<br />was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - BOWMAN
<br />CREEK IMPROVEMENTS, DAYTON STREET TO DUBAIL STREET - PROJECT NO 95-120
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the sale of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that
<br />this project is a re -bid of work advertised last Fall. Sufficient funds have been appropriated from
<br />sewer revenues.. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and
<br />carried, the request was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Calvin Winston, 1050 North Johnson, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party, on Friday, July 4, 1997, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., on Vassar from Brookfield to
<br />Johnson. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by. Mr. Caldwell and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Rachelle Burton, 821 North O'Brien, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />block party, on Friday, July 4, 1997, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr.
<br />Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Susan Farrell, 1842 Wilbur Street, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block
<br />party, on Friday, July 4, 1997, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell,
<br />seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMITS
<br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Ken Zmudzinski, Pretreatment Coordinator, Division of
<br />Environmental Services, submitted the following Wastewater Discharge Permits and recommended
<br />approval:

<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Wastewater
<br />Discharge Permits were approved.
<br />ACCEPTANCE AND APPROVAL OF COUNTEROFFER - O J SHOEMAKER
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, a Revision for a Uniform
<br />Land Acquisition Offer for the Easement at 1087 Lincolnway East was accepted and approved.
