REGULAR MEETING MARCH 17, 1997 APPROVE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT - SOUTH BEND PARKING STRUCTURE NO. 2 - 6E AND 7W REPAIRS - PROJECT NO. 96-76 Mr. Caldwell advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on March 3, 1997 to Kaser Spraker Construction, Inc. 25487 West State Road 2, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $17,700.00, which was the base bid only for the above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Contract was approved and the appropriate Certificate of Insurance as submitted was filed. APPROVAL OF CONTRACT - ENGINEERING DESIGN AND BIDDING SERVICES - CLEANING OF TWO (2) SECONDARY ANAEROBIC DIGESTERS - WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - TRIAD ENGINEERING Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Contract between the City of South Bend and Triad Engineering, 325 East Chicago Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for professional engineering design and bidding services for cleaning of the secondary anaerobic sludge digesters at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Contract is in the amount of $6,060.00, and the funding source for this project is the Wastewater Operating Budget. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the Contract was approved and executed. APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CONTRACTS AND ADDENDA The following Community Development Contracts and Addenda were presented to the Board for approval: Community Homebuyers Addendum I Extends 1996 contract Corporation through end of 1997 Housing Development Addendum I Extends 1996 contract Corporation through end of 1997 Housing Development Addendum I R.E.W.A.R.D. - Extends Corporation 1996 contract through end of 1997 South Bend Heritage Addendum III Bivens House Move/Rehab - Foundation Extends contract through May 31, 1997 South Bend Heritage Addendum III Extends 1996 Western/Chapin Commercial Development through end of 1997; adds current wage decision South Bend Heritage $70,000 Administration of SBHF Foundation housing programs and community organizing South Bend Heritage $100,000 Chapin Street Clinic Foundation Christmas in April Addendum I Extends 1996 contract through end of 1997 Division of Redevelopment $267,508 Renovation of the facade of the State Theater Christmas in April $200,000 In, 1997, this rehab program service area will be the Near Northwest Neighborhood 1 I
