REGULAR MEETING MARCH 10, 1997 <br />APPROVAL OF LEASE AGREEMENT - PURCHASE OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY - 2221 <br />AND 2215 SMITH STREET <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />Mr. William Harris, 2212 West Smith Street, South Bend, Indiana, for the purchase of the above <br />referred to City -owned 'properties. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Agreement is in the amount of <br />$20.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the <br />Agreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF RIGHT-OF-WAY APPRAISALS - IRONWOOD RECONSTRUCTION PHASE <br />IV - RALPH LAUVER <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and <br />Ralph Lauver, 218 East Eckman, South Bend, Indiana, to perform right-of-way appraisals for the <br />above referred to project. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, <br />the Agreement was approved and executed. <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 14-1997 - ACCEPT THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS OF <br />REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following Resolution <br />was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-1997 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PARCELS <br />OF REAL PROPERTY FROM ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA <br />WHEREAS, St. Joseph County, Indiana, (hereinafter, the "County") is the owner of various <br />parcels of land within the City of South Bend, which were obtained by the County pursuant to the <br />tax sale process; and <br />WHEREAS, the care, custody and control of County real estate is vested in the County's <br />Board of Commissioners pursuant to I.C. 36-2-3.5-4; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana (hereinafter, the "City") desires to obtain <br />ownership of-16 such parcels of property for community and economic development purposes, which <br />parcels are described. more particularly as follows: <br />Key Number Address Leal <br />18-2012-0266 1802 Longley Lot 248 Linden Place Addn <br />18-4012-0419 441 S.
