REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 10, 1997 APPROVAL OF PROPOSALS - SOUTH BEND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT - SECONDARY CLARIFIER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT - CONVERSION OF CLARIFIER NOS. 6 AND 7 TO'PARALLEL OPERATION - DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - TRIAD ENGINEERING INCORPORATED Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of two (2) Proposals between the City of South Bend and Triad Engineering Incorporated, 300 North, Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana, for the referred to project. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Proposal for Design Services is in the amount of $80,230.00, and the Proposal for Construction Services is not to exceed $131,770.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Proposals were approved and executed. APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT - XP-SWMM TRAINING AND MODEL CONVERSION ASSISTANCE - GREELEY AND HANSEN Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and Greeley and Hansen, 100 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois, for professional services in connection with XP-SWMM Training and Model Conversion Assistance. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Agreement is in the amount of $15,650.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the Agreement was approved and executed. APPROVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ADDENDUM The following Community Development Addendum was presented to the Board for approval: Neighborhood Housing Services Extend Contract through end of 1997 Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the above referred to Addendum was approved and executed. ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 8-1997 - TRANSFER OF TWO PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY TO AMERICAN HOME DREAMS, INC. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following Resolution -was adopted by the Board of Public Works. In addition, Mr. Jon R. Hunt submitted a letter to the board stating that American Home Dreams, Inc. is a private, not -for -profit company established to build or rehabilitate single-family housing in the Southeast Neighborhood for first time, low income home buyers. Mr. Hunt noted that he serves on the board of AHDI. RESOLUTION NO. 8-1997 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF TWO PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY TO AMERICAN HOME DREAMS, INC. WHEREAS, the. City of South Bend, Indiana (hereinafter the "City"), is the owner of two (2) parcels of real property situated in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, and being more particularly described as follows: Key No. - .18-7013-0499 Lot Numbered Three Hundred -Twenty -Nine •(329) as shown on the recorded Plat of Wenger and . Kreighbaum's First Broadway Addition, recorded in the Office of the Recorder of St: Joseph County, in Plat Book 9,.page 74, commonly known as 313 Broadway Street. Key No: 18-7013-0500 Lot Numbered Three Hundred -Thirty (330) as shown on the recorded Plat. of Wenger and Kreighbaum's First Broadway Addition to the City -of South Bend, recorded in the office of the Recorder. of 1 1 1
