REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 1997 <br />Boy's & Girl's Club $ 30,000 Youth Development Programs <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Roemer and carried, the above referred to <br />Contracts were approved and executed. <br />APPROVAL OF ESCROW AGREEMENT - CENTURY CENTER COOLING TOWER <br />REPLACEMENT - PROJECT NO. 96-80 <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an EscrowAgreement between the City of South <br />Bend, 1 st Source Bank, 100 North Michigan, South, Bend, Indiana, and Edward J. White, 1011 South <br />Michigan, South Bend, Indiana, for an Escrow Agreement for the above referred to project. <br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Roemer and carried, the <br />EscrowAgreement was approved and executed. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHT TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to <br />Remonstrate as submitted by Garden Homes. The Consent indicates that in consideration for <br />permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service <br />to 17874 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1042-1455.01), Garden Homes waives and <br />releases any and all rights to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the <br />property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Consent be <br />approved. Mrs. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - LICENSE APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT <br />MERCHANT LICENSE - HEIRLOOM IMAGES <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to <br />a request as submitted by Mr. Roger L. Smith, 8863 East Black Point Road, Syracuse, Indiana to <br />conduct the above referred to sale of new and used home computer equipment, on February 9, 1997 <br />at the Century Center. Mr. Caldwell stated that Mr. Smith received approval from the Board for <br />several events at the Century Center for Heirloom Images, but this date was omitted from the initial <br />Public Hearing. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the <br />License Application for a Transient Merchant License for February 9, 1997, was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE VARIOUS STREETS - WORLD' S <br />LARGEST GARAGE SALE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of <br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br />by Ms. Paula Garis, Park Department, to close .various streets in conjunction with the "World's <br />Largest Garage Sale" to be held on June 6, 1997 at the Municipal Parking Garage at Wayne and St. <br />Joseph Streets.
