REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 1997 Boy's & Girl's Club $ 30,000 Youth Development Programs Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Roemer and carried, the above referred to Contracts were approved and executed. APPROVAL OF ESCROW AGREEMENT - CENTURY CENTER COOLING TOWER REPLACEMENT - PROJECT NO. 96-80 Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an EscrowAgreement between the City of South Bend, 1 st Source Bank, 100 North Michigan, South, Bend, Indiana, and Edward J. White, 1011 South Michigan, South Bend, Indiana, for an Escrow Agreement for the above referred to project. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mrs. Roemer and carried, the EscrowAgreement was approved and executed. APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHT TO REMONSTRATE Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate as submitted by Garden Homes. The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 17874 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02-1042-1455.01), Garden Homes waives and releases any and all rights to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mrs. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - LICENSE APPLICATION FOR TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE - HEIRLOOM IMAGES Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Roger L. Smith, 8863 East Black Point Road, Syracuse, Indiana to conduct the above referred to sale of new and used home computer equipment, on February 9, 1997 at the Century Center. Mr. Caldwell stated that Mr. Smith received approval from the Board for several events at the Century Center for Heirloom Images, but this date was omitted from the initial Public Hearing. Upon a motion made by Mrs. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the License Application for a Transient Merchant License for February 9, 1997, was approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE VARIOUS STREETS - WORLD' S LARGEST GARAGE SALE Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Paula Garis, Park Department, to close .various streets in conjunction with the "World's Largest Garage Sale" to be held on June 6, 1997 at the Municipal Parking Garage at Wayne and St. Joseph Streets. 'Upon a motion made by Mrs. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the recommendation was approved..
