<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Nancy Foryan, 406 Napoleon Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred
<br />to block party, on October 25, 1998, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00, p.m. on Napoleon to Stanfield. Upon
<br />a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Ms. Kathryn Devezin-Joyner, Near Westside Partnership Center, 504 North Johnson, South Bend,
<br />Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on October 24, 1998, from 10:00 a.m. until
<br />2:00 p.m. on Johnson from Bertrand to Kenwood. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded
<br />by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted
<br />by Mr. Stanley Molenda, 622 Park Avenue, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to
<br />block parry, on October 25, 1998, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on LaMonte Terrace from Forest
<br />to North Park Avenue. Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried,
<br />the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECOND HAND DEALER
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the following secondhand dealers license application has been received:

<br />Mr. Caldwell further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau
<br />of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department
<br />concerning the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer
<br />and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's
<br />Office for issuance of a license.
<br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECOND HAND DEALER
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the following secondhand dealers license application has been received:

<br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: Children's Merchandise
<br />Mr. Caldwell further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau
<br />of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department
<br />concerning the above application. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer
<br />and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's
<br />Office for issuance of a license.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT RED RIBBON MARCH
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Police Department, Park Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Ms. Gladys Muhammad, 914 Lincolnway West, South Bend, Indiana to
<br />conduct the above referred to march, on October 30, 1998, beginning at 12:00 noon, on the
<br />designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and
<br />carried, the recommendation was approved.
