REGULAR MEETING JUNE 15, 1998 <br />APPROVAL OF HOUSE MOVE <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Don Fozo, Building Commissioner, requested approval to issue <br />a moving permit to Mitschelen Relocators to move a residential dwelling from 515 North Cushing <br />to 602 North Cushing. Mr. Fozo stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the <br />utility companies, Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department. Additionally, the Certificate of <br />Insurance has been submitted, and all the appropriate permits have been issued. Upon a motion made <br />by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the recommendation was approved. <br />APPROVAL OF HOUSE MOVE <br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Don Fozo, Building Commissioner, requested approval to issue <br />a moving permit to Mitschelen Relocators to move a residential dwelling from 609 North St. Joseph <br />Street to 612 North St. Joseph Street. Mr. Fozo stated that favorable recommendations have been <br />received by the utility companies, Traffic and Lighting and the Police Department. Additionally, the <br />Certificate of Insurance has been submitted, and all the appropriate permits have been issued. Upon <br />a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the recommendation was <br />approved. <br />TABLE PETITION TO VACATE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, a Petition to Vacate the <br />Public Right of Way, as submitted by Ms. Ann Kolata, Redevelopment, for the properties as <br />submitted, was tabled. The properties noted are owned by the City of South Bend, and the Vacation <br />Petition will be forwarded to the City Council's office at a later date for a Public Reading. <br />Additionally, Mr. Marco Mariani, Planning, stated that there were changes that needed to made to <br />the list of described lots. <br />APPROVAL OF UPDATE OF PREVAILING SPECIFICATIONS <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, an Update of the <br />Prevailing Specifications was approved. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to <br />Remonstrate as submitted by Ms. Cynthia Francis, 17755 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana. The <br />Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of <br />the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 17755 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 02- <br />2117-5786), Ms. Francis waives and releases any and all rights to remonstrate against or oppose any <br />pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer <br />made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE <br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to <br />Remonstrate as submitted by Mr. Bill Chambers, 25612 U.S. 20, South Bend, Indiana. The Consent <br />indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system of the City, <br />to provide sanitary sewer service to 25612 U.S. 20, South Bend, Indiana, (Key # 21-1037-0609.4 <br />Lot B), Mr. Chambers waives and releases any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any <br />pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore, Ms. Roemer <br />made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Powell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the following traffic <br />control device was approved: <br />Removal of Handicap Sign 1621 East Bowman Sign no longer needed <br />APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Mr. Larry D. Spradlin, Sr., Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br />Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved and/or released as follows: <br />
