REGULAR MEETING MAY 11, 1998 APPROVAL OFRECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT BLOCK PARTY Mr. Caldwell stated thatfavorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Donna Goins, 1050 North O'Brien, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on Friday, June 12, 1998, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on O'Brien from Lincolnway to Vassar. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - SECOND HAND DEALER Mr. Caldwell stated that the following secondhand 'dealers license application has been.received: NAME: BY: ADDRESS: FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELLING: I&M Heating and Appliance Service Ray Tanner 1628 South Michigan Used Appliances Mr. Caldwell further advised that favorable recommendations have been received from the Bureau of Traffic and Lighting, Department of Code Enforcement, Police Department and Fire Department concerning the above application. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the above license application was approved and referred to the Deputy Controller's Office for issuance of a license. APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Ken Zmudzinski, Pretreatment Coordinator, Division of Environmental Services, submitted the following Wastewater Discharge Permit and recommended approval: Mechanics Laundry & Supply Inc. 835 Prairie Avenue South Bend, Indiana 46601 Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Littrell and carried, the Wastewater Discharge Permit was approved. APPROVE TITLE SHEETS - NEAR WEST SIDE NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIP CENTER SERVICE AREA - PROJECT NO. 98-20 -WEST SIDE NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIP CENTER SERVICE AREA - PROJECT NO. 98-23 Mr. Caldwell advised that the Title Sheets for the above referred to projects were being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the above referred to Title Sheets were approved and signed. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following traffic control devices were approved: New Installation - 1 Hour Parking 2521 Mishawaka Avenue Turnover for Wesley Miller Insurance Removal of No Parking Sign, 1045 West Washington Hansel Center - Problem with Bus Loading/Revise to No cars parking in bus zone.
