Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. <br />AWARD BID - REMOVAL OF UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS - PROJECT NO. 98-34 <br />Mr. Ken Zmudzinski, Environmental Services, advised the Board that on April 27, 1998, bids were <br />received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Zmudzinski <br />recommends that the Board award the contract to Metro Environmental Contractors, Inc., I I I I West <br />Dundee Road, Wheeling, Illinois in the amount of $15,472.50. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a <br />motion that the recommendation be accepted* and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Roemer <br />seconded the motion which carried. <br />AWARD QUOTATION - SOUTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD SITE PREPARATION - PROJECT <br />NO. 98-41-1 <br />Mr. Marco Marian, Planning Department, advised the Board that on May 4, 1998, quotations were <br />received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those quotations, Mr. Mariani <br />recommends that the Board award the contract to Bradberry Brothers, Inc., 20061 West Dice Street, <br />South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of $50,033.00. Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the quotation be awarded as outlined above. Ms. Roemer seconded <br />the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CHANGE ORDER - 1997 SEWER LINING PROGRAM - PROJECT NO. 98-52 <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted Change Order <br />No. 1 on behalf of Insituform Midwest, Inc., Post Office Box 458, Lemont, Illinois indicating that <br />the Contract amount be increased $68,422.00 for a new Contract sum including this Change Order <br />in the amount of $826,165.00. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and <br />carried, the Change Order was approved. <br />
