Jacob, Clerk <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY <br />Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by Mr..James Frick, 3901 South Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana to vacate the <br />following .alley: <br />The first north south alley east of South Michigan from the north right of way of East <br />Irvington Street to the south angle of the first. east west alley north of East Irvington Street <br />for a distance of approximately 11-7 feet and a width of 14 feet. Part located in Irvington <br />Subdivision; City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this <br />Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, <br />Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works. Therefore, Ms. <br />Roemer made a motion that the Board send a favorable recommendation to the Common Council <br />concerning this. Vacation Petition. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried. <br />FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY <br />Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by John and. Julie Kaser, _61130 Locust Road, South Bend, Indiana to. vacate the following <br />alley: <br />The first north south alley east of South Olive Street -from the north right of way of West <br />Dubail street to the south right of way of the vacated portion of the alley in line east and west <br />of the south property lines of Lots 131 and 88, for a distance of approximately 240 feet. <br />Mr. Caldwell advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this <br />Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, <br />Department of Economic Development and the. Department of Public Works. Therefore, Mr. Littrell <br />made a motion that the Board send a favorable recommendation to the Common Council concerning <br />this Vacation Petition. Ms. Roemer seconded the motion which carried. <br />UNFAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY <br />Mr. Caldwell indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br />completed by Mr. David Thorlan, 548 West Angela Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana to vacate the <br />following alley: <br />The first north south alley west of Iroquois Street from the south right of way of West Angela <br />Boulevard for a distance of approximately 110 feet and a width of 14' feet. Part located in <br />North Shore Terrace, City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />Also, the" first north south alley west. of Iroquois Street from the north right of way of Ostemo <br />Avenue to the south right of way of the first east west alley north of Ostemo Avenue for a <br />distance of approximately 120 feet and a width of.14 feet. Part located in North Shore <br />Terrace, City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. <br />. , <br />The Board of Public Works received favorable recommendations from the Fire Department, <br />Department of Community and Economic Development,. Area Plan Commission and the Police <br />Department concerning this vacation, subject to any utility easements that may be required. The <br />Bureau of Sanitation has stated that these alley vacations will affect solid waste pick-up. The <br />Division of Engineering noted that Lots 90 and 91 are owned by the same person, and that approval <br />1 <br />
