• REGULAR MEETING MARCH 9, 1998 Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, through its Emergency Medical Services Department, charged the persons listed on the attached documents for ambulance services; and WHEREAS, the charges have not been paid to the City of South Bend after at least three notices were sent to the person who received the services; and WHEREAS, Federated Collection Agency has made every attempt to collect the aforementioned charges, and has not been successful; and WHEREAS, the Indiana State Board of Accounts has instructed the City to write off all uncollectible accounts after every attempt to collect them has been made; and WHEREAS, the City of South Bend by and through its Board of Public Works, desires to write off the accounts listed on the attached documents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, that the attached documents totaling $273,945.73 be written off the accounts receivable of the City of South Bend an uncollectible. Jacob ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 31 -1998 Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: RESOLUTION NO.31-1998 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. APPOINTING A CITY NEGOTIATING TEAM TO REPRESENT THE CITY FOR TEAMSTER NEGOTIATIONS WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, is the appropriate Board to approve any contract or agreement reached with the Teamster Bargaining Unit, and WIHEREAS, the Board of Public Works has found, through prior experience, that a joint City negotiating team is aneffective way of negotiating with representatives of the Teamsters No. 364, and WHEREAS, the South Bend Common Council will pass a resolution designating certain members of the City administration and departments to a negotiating team along with three (3) members of the Common Council to negotiate with the Teamsters No. 364, and WHEREAS, because each meeting for a negotiation session between the City of South Bend and Teamsters No. 364 will be for collective bargaining purposes, the same are closed sessions unless otherwise designated as open to the public. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana, hereby appoints a City negotiating team to represent, recommend to it, and
