Jacob, Clerk <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 23-1998 - ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following Resolution <br />was adopted by the Board of Public Works. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 23-1998 <br />RESOLUTION RELATING TO <br />ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary by the City of South Bend to acquire unencumbered fee <br />title to the following real estate for the purpose of widening Ironwood Drive located in the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana: <br />A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 37 North, <br />Range 3 East, St. Joseph County, Indiana, described as follows: <br />Commencing at the northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the <br />Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said section; <br />thence South 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds West 198.00 feet <br />along the east line of said quarter section; thence North 89 degrees <br />53 minutes 10 seconds West 20.00 feet to the west boundary of <br />Ironwood Drive and the point of beginning of this description; <br />thence South 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds West 462.58 feet <br />along said west boundary to the prolonged north line of <br />Twyckenham Hills Section "J" Subdivision; thence North 89 degrees <br />17 minutes 25 seconds West 25.00 feet along said prolonged north line; <br />thence North 4 degrees 49 minutes 35 seconds West 116.71 feet; <br />thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds East 100.00 feet; <br />thence North 5 degrees 47 minutes 58 seconds East 100.50 feet; <br />thence North 3 degrees 20 minutes 41 seconds West 250.45 feet; <br />thence North 11 degrees 23 minutes 56 seconds East 50.99 feet; <br />thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds East 250.00 feet; <br />thence North 5 degrees 47 minutes 58 seconds East 50.25 feet; <br />thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds East 8.04 feet to the <br />north line of the Owner's land; thence South 89 degrees 53 minutes <br />10 seconds East 25.00 feet along said north line to the west boundary <br />of Ironwood Drive; thence South 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds <br />West 462.00 feet along said west boundary to the point of beginning <br />and containing 0.665 acres, more or less. <br />(hereinafter, "Real Estate") <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works previously retained the services of Roy Buskirk to <br />facilitate the acquisition of right-of-way necessary to construct the project; and <br />WHEREAS, purchase offers have been extended for the property necessary to construct the <br />project between Ewing and Randolph; and <br />
