Jacob, Clerk ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 23-1998 - ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works. RESOLUTION NO. 23-1998 RESOLUTION RELATING TO ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary by the City of South Bend to acquire unencumbered fee title to the following real estate for the purpose of widening Ironwood Drive located in the City of South Bend, Indiana: A part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 37 North, Range 3 East, St. Joseph County, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said section; thence South 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds West 198.00 feet along the east line of said quarter section; thence North 89 degrees 53 minutes 10 seconds West 20.00 feet to the west boundary of Ironwood Drive and the point of beginning of this description; thence South 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds West 462.58 feet along said west boundary to the prolonged north line of Twyckenham Hills Section "J" Subdivision; thence North 89 degrees 17 minutes 25 seconds West 25.00 feet along said prolonged north line; thence North 4 degrees 49 minutes 35 seconds West 116.71 feet; thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds East 100.00 feet; thence North 5 degrees 47 minutes 58 seconds East 100.50 feet; thence North 3 degrees 20 minutes 41 seconds West 250.45 feet; thence North 11 degrees 23 minutes 56 seconds East 50.99 feet; thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds East 250.00 feet; thence North 5 degrees 47 minutes 58 seconds East 50.25 feet; thence North 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds East 8.04 feet to the north line of the Owner's land; thence South 89 degrees 53 minutes 10 seconds East 25.00 feet along said north line to the west boundary of Ironwood Drive; thence South 0 degrees 05 minutes 20 seconds West 462.00 feet along said west boundary to the point of beginning and containing 0.665 acres, more or less. (hereinafter, "Real Estate") WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works previously retained the services of Roy Buskirk to facilitate the acquisition of right-of-way necessary to construct the project; and WHEREAS, purchase offers have been extended for the property necessary to construct the project between Ewing and Randolph; and
