The <br />Clerk tendered proofs of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri-County News <br />which were found to be sufficient. The following bids were opened and publicly read: <br />PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS, INC. <br />384 Industrial parkway <br />Imlay City, Michigan 48444 <br />BID: $5,000.00 for both pieces <br />PAVEMENT RESTORATION OF MICHIGAN INC <br />8130 Contigo Terr. <br />Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009 <br />BID: $12,750.00 for both pieces <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the above bids were <br />referred to Equipment Services for review and recommendation. <br />AWARD BID - MIAMI ROAD SANITARY SEWER - PROJECT NO. 94-68 <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on November 14,1997, <br />bids were received and opened for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. <br />Littrell recommends that the Board award the contract to Youngs Excavating, 50563 Dusty Trail, <br />Granger, Indiana in the amount of $240,925.85. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />AWARD BID - FIFTY (50) GOLF CARTS <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director, Division of Engineering, advised the Board that on January 12, 1998, <br />bids were received and opened for the abov; referred to items. After reviewing those bids, Mr. <br />Littrell recommends that the Board award the contract to Professional Golf Cart, Highway 37 <br />Bypass, Bloomington, Indiana, in tie amount -of $107,900.00. Funding for the golf carts will come <br />from the Park Department Capital Fund. Therefore, Mr. Caldwell made a motion that the <br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the <br />motion which carried. <br />
