<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - 1998 GOOD
<br />NEIGHBORS/GOOD NEIGHBORS PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAM - PROJECT NO. 98-27
<br />In a memorandum -to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director of Engineering, requested permission
<br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this
<br />project will assist resident homeowners improve the frontage on their properties. A total of $400,000
<br />has been appropriated from the general fund to male improvements. Therefore, upon a motion made
<br />by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids
<br />was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - ONE (1) MORE
<br />OR LESS, 1,500 GPM PUMPER
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Fire Chief Luther Taylor requested permission to advertise for the
<br />receipt of bids for the above referred to equipment. Chief Taylor stated that funding for this vehicle
<br />will be from the Eemergency Mmedical Services Capital Improvement Fund. Therefore, upon a
<br />motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request to advertise for the
<br />receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SAMPLE EWING
<br />REDEVELOPMENT AREA - SITE CLEARANCE PHASE IV - PROJECT NO. 98-03
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl P. Littrell, Director of Engineering, requested permission
<br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Mr. Littrell stated that this
<br />project will abate asbestos containing materials and demolish six (6) residential structures in the
<br />Sample Ewing Redevelopment Area. Funding is.available from the Sample -Ewing TIF. Therefore,
<br />upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request to advertise
<br />for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS - SOUTH
<br />MICHIGAN DEMOLITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL CLEAN UP - 602 S MICHIGAN -
<br />PROJECT NO. 98-04
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Amy Tweeten, Department of Redevelopment, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. Ms. Tweeten stated
<br />that funding will come from the downtown TIF fund. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms.
<br />Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids was
<br />approved. . .
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS -
<br />MISCELLANEOUS VEHICLES
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director of Equipment Services,
<br />requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to miscellaneous
<br />vehicles. Mr. Chlebowski stated that funding will come from the user Department Capital Fund.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the request
<br />to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE SALE OF EQUIPMENT - TWO (2)
<br />SLURRY SEAL MACHINES
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director of Equipment Services,
<br />requested permission to advertise for the sale of the above referred to items. Mr. Chlebowski stated
<br />that this equipment was declared obsolete by Resolution No. 15-1998, on February 9, 1998.
<br />Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the request
<br />to advertise for the receipt of bids for the sale of the equipment was approved.
<br />APPROVE CONSENT TO- ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is -in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to
<br />Remonstrate as submitted by Ms. Sandra L. Arnicar, 17789 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana.
<br />The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public sanitary sewer system
<br />of the City, to provide sanitary sewer service to 17789 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, (Key #
<br />02-2117-5782-01), Ms. Arnicar waives and releases any and all rights to remonstrate against or
