F� C n REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 13, 1999 APPROVE CLAIMS The following claims were submitted for approval: Ms. M. Catherine Roemer, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $4,287,790.63 Rahman Johnson, Department of Public Works' Fiscal Officer, submitted claims for the South Bend Building Corporation 1999A Construction Fund - $15,833.00 Cleo Hickey, Executive Director ofthe Morris Performing Arts Center, submitted Additional Services claims for Kessler Architects, totaling $54,541.33 Morns Performing Arts - $140,063.03 Workforce Development Services - Two totaling $46,007.12 Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, separate approval was given to all claims except claims submitted on behalf of Kessler Architects, totaling $54,541.33. These claims were tabled until additional information could be gained about them. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR Mr. Caldwell requested to add a request from the Housing Authority to rename a portion of Scott Street to Alonzo Watson Jr. Boulevard. Mr. Powell made a motion to add the item to the agenda, and Ms. Roemer seconded the motion, which carried. APPROVE NAME CHANGE - PORTION OF SCOTT STREET The Street Dedication Committee of the South Bend Housing Authority sent a request to the Board to rename a portion of Scott Street to Alonzo Watson Jr. Boulevard. The portion of the street to be renamed is from Western Avenue south, to South Street. This request received favorable recommendation from the Board of Public Works. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer and seconded by Mr. Powell, the request was approved, and the motion carried.
