REGULAR MEETING <br />source is Leighton Plaza Bonds. <br />NOVEMBER 15, 1999 <br />RECOMMENDATION FROM ST. MARGARET' S HOUSE <br />Mr. Caldwell. stated that the Board is in receipt of a request for recommendations for a Winter Walk, <br />sponsored by St. Margaret's House. The walk is to take place on February 13, 2000 from 2:00 p.m. - <br />4:00 p.m. All recommendations received were favorable. Mr. Caldwell made motion that the <br />recommendation be approved. Mr. Powell seconded the motion, which carried. <br />FILING OF. CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the following Certificates <br />of Insurance were accepted for filing: <br />Landmark Outdoor Advertising Co., Inc., with General Insurance Services for coverage and <br />the City of South Bend as additional insured. <br />Trans Tech Electric, Inc., with John L. Wortham & Son, L.L.P. for coverage for work <br />performed at a work site/yard at the southeast corner of Sample and Franklin Streets. <br />REQUEST TO RELEASE BONDS <br />Mr. Carl Littrell, P.E., Department of Public Works, recommended that the following Contractors <br />be approved and/or released as follows: <br />BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br />Edward Hinz Construction <br />2240 Redfield Road <br />Niles, Michigan 49120 <br />Bond No. 23037342 <br />Mr. Powell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bond be released as <br />outlined above. Mr. Caldwell seconded the motion which carried. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Ms. M. Catherine Roemer, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $2,231,824.15 and <br />recommended approval. Additionally, Workforce Development Services submitted claims in <br />amounts of $22,404.48 and $291,310.35. Ms. Roemer recommended separate approval and made <br />a motion that the claims be approved and the reports be filed as submitted. Mr. Powell seconded the <br />motion, which carried. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Powell, <br />seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the meeting adjourned at 9:57 a.m. <br />1 <br />
