<br />the Agreement is in the amount of $2,000.00 and funding is provided by the UDAG Predevelopment
<br />Fund. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and carried, the
<br />Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF NEIGHBORHOOD YOUTH GRANT AGREEMENT - BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
<br />OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY/SWOOSH CLUB YOUTH
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the Board is in receipt of an Agreement between the City of South Bend and
<br />the Boys and Girls Club of St. Joseph County/Swoosh Club, to send six (6) youth to a Leadership
<br />Camb at Lewis University in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Caldwell noted that the Agreement is in the
<br />amount of $826.00. Therefore, upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Caldwell and
<br />carried, the Agreement was approved and executed.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - ECKMAN FROM HIGH TO
<br />RUSH - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Robert
<br />Sheppard, 641 East Eckman, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on
<br />August 3, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET ASHLAND FROM REX TO
<br />LELAND - NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Wendy Hurley,
<br />803 Ashland, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block parry, on August 1, 1999.
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation
<br />was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - CARLISLE FROM INDIANA
<br />TO DUBAIL, - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Shirley Fulton,
<br />609 West Indiana, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on August 3,
<br />1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - BEVERLY PLACE FROM
<br />WOODLAWN
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Tricia
<br />Heedkamp, 1918 Beverly Place, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block parry,
<br />on July 25, 1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT PARADE - PULASKI PARK AREA
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to
<br />a request as submitted by Corporal Ken Ryan, South Bend Police Department to conduct the above
<br />referred to parade, on August 3, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made
<br />by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE LICENSE APPLICATION - GARBAGE AND RUBBISH SERVICE
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that the following Garbage and Rubbish Service application has been received:

<br />Mr. Caldwell further advised that a favorable recommendation has been received by the Department
<br />of Code Enforcement concerning this application. Further, the Bureau of Sanitation has inspected
