<br />JULY 12, 1999
<br />Michigan between Jefferson and Washington, on July 17, 1999, in conjunction with the 1999
<br />Youthfest. Favorable recommendations have been received by the Engineering Department and the
<br />Police Department. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />request was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE O'BRIEN FROM PRAST TO HUEY -
<br />BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Rachelle Burton,
<br />821 North O'Brien, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on July 24,
<br />1999. Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Ms. Roemer and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE MARQUETTE FROM LAFAYETTE TO
<br />WAKEWA - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Al Kirsits, 722
<br />Marquette, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on July 25,1999. Upon
<br />a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the recommendation was
<br />approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE KENDALL FROM INDIANA TO
<br />EDWARDS - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Kay Blower,
<br />609 West Indiana, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on August 22,
<br />1999. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE SOUTH 31M STREET FROM
<br />MISHAWAKA AVENUE TO WALL STREET - BLOCK PARTY
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering and the Police Department, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Doreen Miller,
<br />826 South 32nd, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the above referred to block party, on August 3,
<br />1999. Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the
<br />recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CONDUCT PARADE - FAMILY BEREAN S.D.A.
<br />CHURCH
<br />Mr. Caldwell stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of
<br />Engineering, Code Enforcement, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a
<br />request as submitted by Mr. Philip Jenkins, 601 West Colfax, South Bend, Indiana to conduct the
<br />above referred to parade, on July 11, 1999, on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion
<br />made by Mr. Powell, seconded by and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br />APPROVE WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PERMIT
<br />In a Memorandum to the Board, Mr. Ken Zmudzinski, Pretreatment Coordinator, Division of
<br />Environmental Services, submitted the following Wastewater Discharge Permit and recommended
<br />approval: I

<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Caldwell, seconded by Mr. Powell and carried, the Wastewater Discharge
<br />Permit was approved.
